Then your delutional. If a bigger job with a higher profile and more money to spend on transfers came up Redknapp would be out of the door so fast it would make your head spin. The same if the FA offered him the England job. He has no loyalty to any club, he is a mecenary who looks out for his own best interest. He is a great manager, undoubtedly, but dont make the mistake Pompey fans did and believe that he actually cares about your club.
Kaboul was immense when he was at Pompey. By far the best and most consistant defender we had. And that was under Tony Adams, Paul Hart and Avram Grant. Far as I can tell he's always been a top class defender.
Listen mate you're either thick or bitter....but most likely a combination of both as this isn't about "caring" for the club as in Arry has some deep love for spurs, this more to do with the fact Arry wants to be a real success at club level and achieve something real and I know building a team that can challenge for the title will mean more to him then managing England.
If however he decided to leave spurs for England, we would all wish him the best and just be gutted he never started what he finished, but that is football for ya!
My point remains. Harry Redknapp is a mecenary and he will only stay with Spurs so long as a job with better prospects doesn't come up. Of course he'd want to win the title with Spurs, he'd want to win any title with Spurs, but if Abramovich came to him with an open check book and said "here spend whatever you want and get me the title" he wouldn't hesitate for one moment to leave. He has made a big deal about wanting to manage England for years so unless that was just hot air I seriously doubt he would have any hesitations about leaving Spurs for that job either.
If Tottenham fail to win a title or cup this season and the FA comes calling once Capello steps down do you honestly believe that Redknapp wouldn't drop you like a bad habit?
Your inability to see the difference in his performances this season is of no concern to me.

I'm not at all worried about Harry leaving us. He will go, one day.
What will remain is the legacy he has left us, a fantastically balanced team, a knowledge (not merely a belief) that we can compete at the highest level, and a blue-print on how to take things forward, playing the "Spurs way" without having to sacrifice any of our principles.
If/when Harry does leave, we will take a top manager from another club, one that speaks English, as I am sure that Levy won't make the same mistake that he made with Ramos.

Hopefully, we've learned from the Hoddle and Ardilles experiments that appointing legends of the past as managers is not a good idea.
Exactly. We're past that sort of sentimental appointment. When Wenger goes you won't see Tony Adams or Ian Wright being linked with the job. Unfortunately.
I wouldn't say this is exclusively true, more so that people shouldn't be appointed JUST because they are legends, they need to have displayed a high level of managerial ability, and there are none at the moment to whom this applies. Certainly though the appointment of club 'legends' can cloud judgement on performances (Queen Kenny is a good example)
Short of employing Dave Mackay (whose 77, and hasn't managed for 16 years) no ex-player would be a good appointment. Clive Allen's done a good job with the reserves, Hughton did a good job at Newcastle and is doing alright at Brum, and Poyet is going fine at Brighton, but none are potential Spurs managers at this time.

Wenger might be available at the end of the season - I think he'd work wonders with our squad which is man for man better than the one he has - not entirely serious of course
