Thank you. Would like to dedicate my award to MND awareness. Of all the diseases I’d like to not get I think that’s top of the list. But for today, we celebrate the win.
Just deliberated with the committee, appeal declined. Special dispensation for Leeds fans only. Walsall too but there ay non of them on 'ere We'll give you Ant or Dec and that's it.
I've been to his home, and saw his grave buried alongside members of his family within the grounds of the mansion. I felt his gaff was all very modest and I didn't feel anything was over extravagant when compared to todays standards for celebrities. Also visited his childhood home in Tupelo. It was a trip I didn't intend on going on and certainly wasn't looking forward to at that time, but was glad I did. Strangely enough it was only a few days ago that an Expedia travel shop advert popped up on my device with a similar holiday from all those years ago. Which included all the popular places to visit in Memphis, which I did most of, I didn't dare look at prices for now though, lol.... https://www.expedia.co.uk/Memphis-Downtown-Memphis.dx6059433 Hopefully ^ link works.
Some time ago I was planning a two city trip, to include Memphis and Nashville. Not sure it will ever happen now. A friend of mine went to Gracelands, years and years ago. I asked him to bring me back the tackiest souvenir he could find, and he didn't disappoint - a tiny square of gold lame framed in cardboard, with a label saying "A Piece of Elvis's Wardrobe For You" Edit: those hotel prices ar a bit steep for January
Yeah that would be good the two city trip. You got all the civil rights stuff in Memphis as well as the music. Although I had to fly into Chicago and then catch an internal flight to Memphis, don't know if there is a more direct route to there, because I'm talking years ago. I wasn't really overawed with Beale Street and the neon lights, just a bit too touristy and naff for me, food was ok in some famous jazz place, I more enjoyed the corner shop of SunStudios and the mere raw detail of it. I didn't look at the hotel prices, I stayed in The Peabody so I dread to think what that costs, but the women love the ducks lol...I remember the hotel bar well enough.
I've got no intentions to do anymore long trips, I'd happily vacation around Europe. Going on them long flights is as exciting as sittting on a coach to Fleetwood for an away game, shhhite and mentally unbearable!
