Definitely hope Abu is given the chance tomorrow too. Not mega keen on it but can see some of the benefit of what they’ve done, think a temporary excluding from the squad as he refused to deny would be a step far.

I'd be very surprised if he doesn't play.

Think if he hadn't done that though the crowd reaction to him being selected would have been a bit uncomfortable though, which wouldn't have been ideal, for the lad as much as anyone else.

Good thing about that press conference is Kamara looked happy to be there and absolutely not like he was been held against his will at gunpoint <laugh>

Already seen a few saying his lack of expression is why people can’t warm to him like he was going to be over the moon to be getting dragged out like a kid with his teacher meeting the parents.

I wouldn't call that a lack of expression. Unless 'rabbit in the headlights' isn't an expression.

Think there’s a difference in circumstances. Tim dragged Jarvis publicly not allowing him to respond. Ruben has brought Abu with him and allowed him to say his piece

It's cleared up the fact that the lad wasn't liking a Portsmouth win but liking the fact that his mate had scored. There's a big difference. It was ill timed and thoughtless - it would have been better to congratulate him privately on text or WhatsApp but what the public response does is to put it to bed. Apology issued. He acknowledges it was inappropriate but it removes anything sinister which might be in people's minds.

Well handled. Problem solved. Move on.

100% agree on every point there.
Well played Reuben, I’m loving what I’ve seen from him so far. He’s a class act
We just need to get to that mid table security now

I agree, it does highlight what we already know that most modern players don’t really give a **** . That defeat should be hurting minutes after the match and you shouldn’t even be wanting to text your mum happy birthday ,Never mind congratulate a mate . But most simply do not give a **** whether we / they , win or lose .

As much as us as fans hate it

Most players dont give much of a **** after the game

I completely get its a job , and I’m not one of those who think they shouldn’t have a social life .. but I would like to think an Injury time defeat would bother them for an hour or two at least .

It should ****ing hurt until they put it right in the next game, but it just doesn't even register for majority, as proved by Abu

Fair play to our manager and Abu and the club. Excellent way to deal with it and move on. Let’s hope he scores and does a celebration akin to Bullard.

There will be some bed wetters who have a good moan.
