Catching up on the press conference. Barnes is such a prick. Thick as a castle wall and desperate to write yet another ‘ambition’ article on WMS or to pontificate about it on the radio. A know-nowt and a rabble rouser for the lowest common denominator. Bellend.

The 3 teams above us are all away with tricky fixtures, there will be points dropped so we have to keep winning our home games, I think this will be a solid professional performance with a 2-0 win then some of the lads can have a well earned rest with the cup game next week.
Would love to see a good hiding for that lot but will be happy with the 3 points

I hope he’s playing alongside Harrison Jones

It really is a fixture where the result doesn’t matter, we could definitely do without extra time and pens, though!

Brilliant thread as usual RTB. Thank You!

I was one of those downed by the dreaded bug on New Years day, but I'm on the mend and looking forward to getting back to the SOL on Sunday.

This is a fixture where patience from us fans and clinical finishing from the Lads is key. We will create chances - take one and draw them out, then pick them off.
Really hope these ****ehawks go down with Luton. Can't forget their fans behaviour at Wembley. Shameful!

4-1 to the Lads and a chance to re-enter the top 2. Haway me bonny Lads!!!!!!!

Worried about this game, not the match itself for me the probs could be getting there and home again. Wear valley can be rough weather wise.

Ladies and gents I said I wouldnt do this again but I am. Yes I expect us to hammer them. I was going to say 6-1 and I know most of you are thinking the fkn nutter however it gets worse. I had already put 8-1 on my predictor so I will stick with that <laugh>.
Hopefully 2 x forwards n 2 wingers again and pure attack. Early goal and no matter how well they respond our confidence levels will be there for everyone to see.

PS, I'd still settle for a nervy 1-0 win now though.

PPS, Mayenda HT and 1 of theirs to be sent off.

Credit to them for getting a foothold and putting a scrap in, but we are just dominantly better than them all over the park.

    4-1 the Lads

Personally would bring in Cirkin and leave the rest. Allow for Cirkin and Roberts to operate as our wide players when high up the pitch, with Aouchiche coming inside to accommodate Mayenda and Isidor. Would give us plenty to aim for.

Can't wait to see how we cope with them sitting in, would be suicide for them to push high with the pace we have up top.

Could be a really interesting game as they will be more worried about us than we are of them.

I'd love us to really go for the throat and batter them from the first whistle, but accept we may need to play them longer game

A little nervous about this one as it's always the lower placed teams we drop points against. Think we'll end up with a 2-0 win although the goals won't come until the 2nd half so the crowd will get a little tense

I agree about the formation. We won't play 442 on Sunday.

It's always possible we'll lose but I don't have any nerves about this game.

I'm looking forward to a win because we're a much better team and beat them away ...

... I wouldn't swap a single player so why should I be worried.

The only concern is that my train is cancelled, for poor weather, and I have to drive there.

It would be nice to have a comfortable win so we can get some of the young lads on the pitch, Zak Johnson, Harrison Jones, Aleksic, Ogunsuyi etc

They’re a funny team, a lot of their worst results have come largely as a result of Mousinho rotating the team and resting their better players, particularly away from home - effectively writing off some games to, in theory, give them a better chance of getting a result in the more winnable (on paper) fixtures.

I would have been very optimistic on that basis but they’ve no league fixture for two weeks after our game so I guess they’ll like go full strength so we’ll see I guess.

Heavy rain, better than the snow they predicted.

Going to be cold in the ground
