Fresh off an impressive Henry-esque finish against promotion chasing Sheffield United, Wilson sits on a reasonably impressive 7 goals in 22 league appearances as things stand today (03-Jan-25), if he maintains that ratio and avoids injury and suspension, he will finish the league season on 14 goals. That said, he has been unlucky in my opinion in that he has not converted certain chances he should have, for whatever reason. Now the transfer window is open and it's rumoured we're looking for a new striker, but could Wilson reignite his goal scoring form and finish the season with an increased goal ratio to finish the season on 20 (or more) league goals? I think it's in him.
Keep getting him in between the full backs and centre halves and he will get a canny few. We did that a few times on Wed and he thrives on it. As does Mayenda.
I think playing in a front two rather than on his own was a huge part of that. He was able to play either side of a single centre back rather than in between two of them.
I reckon he will end up with 15 goals, which would be a cracking return It's mental to think how poor our strikers were last season, 3 goals all season. Isidor, Connolly and Mayenda have 11 between them already
Yep, two always helps. But even when we are one up top, and it's Wilson, we need a few more of those balls through. He's a good player alright.
Hope to god he stays. his back to goal work is improving game on game but even if he’s not that kind of striker he’s a nightmare for defenders can score easy and difficult goals. one big trait is he can create a goal for himself which not a lot of forwards can do. we have to keep him
Everyone set on him being ahead of Mayenda as the 1st choice? Personally think Mayenda may yet prove to be the best fit for us.

Some great players in the list. 23/24: Szmodics - 27 Armstrong - 21 22/23: Akpom - 28 Gyokeres - 21 Morris - 20 21/22: Mitrovic - 43 (what the ****) Solanke - 29 Weimann - 22 Piroe - 22 Brereton Diaz - 22 20/21: Toney - 31 Armstrong - 28 Pukki - 26 Moore - 20 19/20: Mitrovic - 26 Watkins - 25 Grabban - 20 I think he'll get to around 15-17 and that would be a great return.
Prefer Mayenda personally. Think Isidor is much flashier and the better goalscorer but we are a better team with Mayenda in.
