Ashley Barnes has rejoined Burnley as well.

It'd be a sale I'd be ok with but that penalty save did remind me how great a shot stopper he is. Good thing we've got Young ready to step up, he looks a top prospect.

Patto was limping heavily at the end. He could barely move when he made that final clearance

I don't disagree but there are a lot of problems at corners and set plays, almost all the goals we have conceded lately have come from a goalmouth scramble where a ball is lumped into a congested six yard area and bounces around until it falls to someone as it has been difficult to clear. All of this shirt pulling and holding is players trying to find space in an overly congested area. In truth if we had a keeper who could force his way through or a really dominant centre half who wins most headers then maybe it would not be as bad. Or if Referees gave the shirt pulling from attackers as well as defenders the same consideration then maybe we would see less of it.
O9 was blatant and deserved the pen but the ones highlighted later were not as straight forward as both strikers and defenders were guilty as each other as they tried to gain space of stay close to opponents.

That just means that they wanted it to be about one of theirs, and they didn't give a toss about all of the others . . . . disrespectful twats <steam>

Agree, mate, and this fits in with Patterson "bulking up" but it's not worked. He still reluctant to leave his lines and clear out through opposition attackers and it's seemed to have affected his reflexes, making him slower to get down or react to some stuff. The result is a bit of panic in the penalty area.

Whilst I’m not a fan of Fishpaste, he’s got some very petty Sheff U fans on his feed!
Seemingly both goals from us were gifts (first one I get, but second certainly not) and their Goal was a fantastic cross from Hajer (despite it taking a big deflection!

    yeh it’s funny reading them.

mind you the way some of our fans go on about conceded goals, you’d think we gift every goal to the opposition as well. It’s always “terrible defending” no matter what the goal is.

I think it’s natural for fans to see their own team’s mistakes rather than the quality of the opposition in converting them.

This game is a prime example! Onien has 0.1 second to react, and gets slated for heading the ball. If he leaves it a Moore taps in (which I think probably would’ve happened) then he gets slated for leaving it!

Also, when he commits for the header, he’s got a full forehead on the line of the ball but it spins a long way making it a stretch. He’s already committed

As a fanbase we should be more aware of always erring on the side of protecting our lads rather than slating them, for morale reasons as much as anything else and don't get me wrong there is an appropriate time and place for deep introspection and valid critique of individual players, but we need to be bullish about our lads and any dissenters should be mocked and shamed as nappy wetters or emotional low impulse control babies.

Definitely not 2 gifts as both Mayenda and Isidor still had a lot to do. Both goals were scored due to mistakes from sheff utd players though so I understand why they might say they gifted us goals. Probably better to word it as 2 mistakes were punished for our goals

Yeah that’s what Fishpaste said. They gifted us a very good chance (which I don’t think Moore scores as he’s not quick enough) , and a difficult chance. They also say we need “a lot more gifts to finish top 2”. Very petty

Aye that's petty, our 2 strikers did very well to score those 2 goals as they weren't easy chances at all

I think sheff utd were really poor on the final 3rd - obviously some of that was down to us defending well - but other than Hamer they had no creativity

Never been a massive fan of Moore, other than his outstanding hold up play for this level, as he just doesn't have the movement or sharpness i like in a CF

We dominated them in the Bramall Lane fixture only to lose at the death, I watched their post match content like Wilders interview etc read their forum posts and there was very little inward looking just a "done our job and won" vibe.

Interesting of them them chuck their toys out of the pram now.

I've always found them an odd lot, nothing like Wednesday. They always seemed to me to have a chip on their shoulder. A bit like the Smogs.

I've said it before but that ball across was going no where near Moore as it was heading towards mepham and he would got to it before moore so he wouldn't have put it in, have a look back at it and you might see that your talking ****e

You have the added benefit of watching it from a completely different angle and from the comfort of your living room or wherever you may be sitting. As already said, he had a decision to make in less than a second and that decision resulted in an own goal.

I'm not talking about oneins decision making I'm responding to someone who's since the other night thinks moore's gonna score when the ball is quite clearly heading towards mepham and not him. I've noticed whatever he says he always has to be right even after mentioning the other night. I called out 09 because he was having a bad 1st half but the same poster said anyone blaming 09 for that goal must have an agenda. I've never called him and have never had an agenda against as I think he's a good important player for us but anyone can have a offday.
