Just finished watching Dune: Prophecy - one for the sci-fi buffs and those who enjoyed the Dune films, or like me, the books. Stellar performances from Jessica Barden, Emily Watson & Olivia Williams.

I actually thought season 2 of Squid Game was rubbish. I loved season 1 as well! Gutted.

We watched the first episode last night, and all I can say is that I hope it improves.

Watched it at the cinema in Hull for one of the ‘premiers’ at Hull Independent Cinema.

Enjoyed it and nice to see the parts of Hull used for filming featuring heavily

Didn’t know it was part of the Hull “film a scene” trend. I’ll have to watch again now.

Yeah Paragon Station is the main train station he leaves from, and Hepworth’s arcade features a lot
Few little bits round the old town too I think

Halfway though watching the 2nd episode (of 5) of Lockerbie.

It is a difficult, heartbreaking and raw watch but it is a must see series.

Colin Firth and Catherine McCormack are oustanding in their roles of Dr Jim & Jane Swier.

Maggie Thatcher's Conservative government of the time doesn't come out of it smelling of roses.

Just finished the 3rd episode - wow, just wow. I just wished this had been on free to air TV as it would have had a bigger audience as the Post Office scandal drama - Mr Bates vs The Post Office.

Just finished watching The Gentleman on Netflix, typical Guy Ritchie gangster caper, daft, but entertaining.

Netflix have just commissioned a second series, so there’s at least another eight episodes to come.

Pleased to see the coke dealing priest wearing one of my tops all the first series. <laugh>

It is a good watch....and quite a surprising musical soundtrack with it as well...well worth a watch..
Brings back memories for me as my father escaped a POW camp in Italy and spent a bit of time fighting with the partisans in northern Italy.
