My daughter and family were in Krakow last week for the Christmas Fair - her and hubby have never stopped raving about the place since they got back.
My daughter's the same. Went a year or so back and she's always going on to me that we should get ourselves there. To be honest, it sounds brilliant.
Me and the boss will definitely be giving it a go - daughter couldn't believe how friendly and welcoming the locals were, nothing was too much trouble and the civic pride was evident whoever they spoke to.
Went there a few years ago excellent city break, for anyone going don't bother with Schindler's factory tour. The views expressed in my posts are not necessarily mine.
I see ST and DMD are really cooking on gas today. The views expressed in my posts are not necessarily mine.
My son in law and his mate visited a local salt mine while the girls were shopping - he was just staggered by the intricate carvings and the sheer number of huge vaults/rooms; he was more staggered when the guide said that what they had seen during the three hour tour was barely 1% of what's down there!
Been a while ago during Christmas market time, with @askewshair and the ladies and had a cracking time. It’s a brilliant place. Friend just been too and said the same

My profile pic is a photo I took from that break. It must have been at the height of the Allam out campaign. Mrs DBT decided to spread the message internationally, alongside a cock and balls and a pair of boobs, using a snowy car windowscreen as a canvas. It was a great trip. Auswitch was quite an experience. I believed it was one of those experiences everybody should do, just as a very shocking illustration of why it should never be allowed to happen again. Sadly, with some of the atrocities happening around the world, it seems the human race has learnt nothing.
Definitely worth a visit to the salt mine when over there. I thought the Krakow Christmas market was a bit **** though - **** all there and not festive at all. Won't be going in April again.
