You can't seriously think that doing what the majority of the fans want is a recipe for improvement? We would likely still be playing at the old stadium if democracy was in action.

    Since the summer of 2019.
    Bought:
    Lo Celso £50m, Ndombele £55m, Clarke £10m, Sessengon £35m,

Sacked pochettino just months after getting us to a CL final and getting us our 4th top 4 finish in a row...and after spending the £150m (above).

    Brought in JM.

    Bought: Bergwin £25m Reguilon £25m,
    Doherty £13.5m

Tried to furlough the lowest paid staff which would have cost these staff 20% of their wages.

    Joined the Europa super league.

Sacked JM 6 days before a cup final to distract from the ESL debacle. He last 18 months spread over 2 part seasons. Would have been shorter but for Covid lockdowns.

Spent from April to July being turned down by every one we approached before making Nuno our manager.

    Bought: Gil £25m, Royal £25m,
    Romero £45m

    Sacked Nuno by November.

    Appointed Conte

    Bought: Kuluchevski £25m, Bentencur £25m, Richarlison £60m, Spence £25m, Bissouma £25m, Udogie £15m

Sacked him 18 months later. The 18 months were spread over two part seasons.

    Appointed Ange

    Bought: Porro £45m, Vicario £20m, Johnson £45m, Solanke £65m,
    VDV £45m, Maddison £40m,
    Veliz £16m,

Has been the first manager to last a whole season since pochettino in 2018/19.

Out of the players I can only say hat Romero, Udogie, Kuluchevski, Vicario and VDV have been out and out successful.

    5 out of 22 players.

A further 4 have been decent; Porro, Johnson, Bissouma and Bentencur.

Lo Celso, Ndombele, Clarke, Sessengon, Bergwin, Royal, Doherty, Gil, Richarlison and Gil were disastrous signings but we're never given a chance to really play for the manager that signed them.

I see nothing positive in what we've done regarding the football decisions in this time.
I am desperately hoping they keep their nerve and not sack Ange and actually stick with a long term plan but I have no faith in any football decision we make and haven't since we sacked pochettino

Couldn't disagree more tbh. I said at the time that spending £60m on him was a farce...if I could seething why couldn't Conte/ the club?

You’re missing the point, fans knew Richarlison was ****. To compare it to Isak where there was genuine potential upside in that deal, it was the exact opposite in our one. We paid £60m for a £15m-£20m player and we’ve gotten exactly that.

All true but our average finishing position in the new stadium is still above 6th. So the outcome of all those decisions is us finishing pretty much exactly where we ought to.

Think you are being selective tbh.

From 09/10 to 18/19 our average position was 4.1 and we never finished below 6th.
We finished 6th once 5th twice, 4th four times, 3rd twice and 2nd once.
In that time we we qualified for the CL 6 times, got to the semi final of the FA Cup on 4 occasions, a league cup final, a league cup semi final and a CL final.
Our total points total was 770 making an average of 71 per season.

We got 80 points or more once (86) and
    70 -79 points 4 times.
We scored a total of 663 goals, an average off 66.3 per season.
We conceded a total of 414, an average of 41.4 per season.
Our GD averaged +29 per season.

Since then we have finished 6th, 7th, 8th, 4th, 5th making an average of 6th place.

We have made a League cup final and a semi final.

We haven't gone past the 5th round of the fa cup in that time.

We've totaled 318 points making an average 63 points per season.

We once got over 70 points or more (71).

We scored a total of 342 goals, an average of 68.4 per season.

We conceded a total of 256 goals, an average of 51.2 it's per season.

    Our average GD was +17.2.

Every measure bar goals scored we have been far worse since 2019 and on the measurement you apply we've under performed.

What has caused the venom towards the board, epic and levy is that this has happened since we've got into the new ground and have been charged exorbitant prices for matches.

In the 5 full seasons in the ground it is an average of 6th ... not above.

Yes we overperformed for a few years because we bought the Poch team for £100m. It's nobody's fault that we couldn't repeat that. We are now performing exactly as expected. Why that should cause venom is beyond me.

Probably because we play terrible football, are 11th in the table and pay amongst the highest prices in Europe for the so called privilege.

We’re basically paying the footballing equivalent to going to a Marco Pierre White steakhouse and being served a frozen burger patty with McCann oven chips.

You expect to be 11th in the league and on course to finish with 48 points this season?

No. But it's well within the expected uncertainty. If we finish 11th we will still not be significantly below 6th on average since the stadium opened. Why does literally everyone get upset when we don't outperform?

If you don't like it, don't go. The stadium is full...some other fan will be happy to have your ticket. But it's only a poor half season with a bizarre set of results. Hang on in there and see what happens.

Finishing 11th is a dreadful season, regardless of how much it affects the average finish since the club moved stadiums.

It’s been going on since Spurs lost to Chelsea at home last season. That’s well over a year and significantly longer than half a season.

2024 the calendar year, Spurs picked up the 9th most points. Only finished 5th because they were top after 10 games with 26 points.

Who cares...there has never been a trophy for a calendar year in England. Nothing unusual is happening. Hang on in there.

Not sure where you’ve been the last year, because this isn’t a poor half season. It’s been a poor twelve months and the signs absolutely do not point to changes for the better. The only way we improve is with quality additions and even the most optimistic of fans right now probably wont be predicting too many good additions this month.

Correct, There isn’t a trophy for the calendar year but it’s a good indication of a team. Spurs over the calendar year and even this half season are a bang average mid table side. I don’t see anything happening to change that.
