Most on here were crying out for a shift in something but it took him longer than necessary to make the changes we needed.
Nah deserves huge credit... I thought it was going to get worse, but when you look at the full tenure and how good some of these signings are I've got to accept I was wrong to get critical as soon as I did. Some bad performances were right criticised, but I'm ashamed of the Howe out noises I made.
I'll admit to writing the season off after that terrible Palace performance - the one with no shots at all against a near bottom-three side. We all knew something wasn't right with the team. Obviously something had to change. Hopefully that's well behind us, though when Isak's out again we're without a proven number 9. Hope that changes in January.

I don't disagree, he clearly deserves credit NOW. But as @Consett Mag rightly says the Palace match was nothing short of a debacle and some of the performances early season were poor, with many clamouring for change that was long overdue. Some of us - including me - were wrong in wanting Howe gone, though, as he's successfully turned things around. We have changed, which I didn't think Howe was capable of. We were down as 4-3-3 yesterday but played 5-4-1, with - weirdly - Murphy RWB and Bruno RM.
Still not sure why it took him so long to figure out Tonali deep and Bruno ahead, we'd have more points if he'd done it sooner..better late than never like.
Think 5 games ago he was in big trouble but then He’s won 5 on the bounce and into a semi final so he’s in the clear again now. As long as we are in the hunt for top 6/7 he’s clear but you look at other teams who expect to be in those places who are where we were (12-14th) 5 games ago like Manure and Spuds - once’s sacked their manager already and the other is going to go if we batter them!
