Clattenberg is an absolute twat! JP looked, he swung an elbow, and the player had, fortunately, moved on. Attempted strike. Straight red, any pitch, any level.
That has to be upgraded to a red card. Honestly, it irks me that top referees have never kicked a competitive football in their lives.
Certainly got away with one there. Suspect Clattenburg was looking for an excuse as a get out for the VAR?
Tamworth taking advantage of their fans for a glamour tie it seems. https://x.com/tamworthfc/status/1872939999332843954
I am puzzled as to why Hornet-Fez and Markthehorn mentioned Clattenburg. Andy Madley was the referee for the Brighton-Brentford match and Chris Kavanagh was the Video Assistant Referee. I thought that Mark Clattenburg was no longer a Premier League referee nor involved with VAR. Was he involved (as an adviser about refereeing decisions) with the match commentary on Amazon Prime?
Clattenburg is Sky's / Amazon refereeing pundit defending the indefensible. Kavanagh was just wrong, having had several viewings that's unforgivable. Madley by name, madly by nature, is my usual description of him. He only got one look, benefit of the doubt.
Par for the course really, most smaller clubs do it - but those prices are a tad ridiculous. I really don't understand why some posters are blaming the cancellation of replays for the increases though - stranger things have happened I suppose, but who in their right mind would assume that Tamworth could draw with Spurs?
Yes true . I mean obviously they will take some advantage of the big game as anyone else would but £30 for kids even ?! Agree on replays - not an excuse .
No great surprise! Head coach Wayne Rooney has left Championship strugglers Plymouth Argyle by mutual agreement. The 39-year-old former England captain oversaw just four league wins and suffered 13 defeats in 23 Championship games after taking charge of the Pilgrims in May.
Dermot Gallagher (on Sky's Referee Watch) also did not think that it was a red card. He explained that João Pedro had made no contact with his arm and that the Brentford player made no movement to avoid JP's arm (which he suggested was the important factor).
Stoke have verbally agreed a deal with former Coventry boss Mark Robins to become their new head coach
A bit of a blow for Sheffield U - their 6'7" centre back Harry Souttar is out for the rest of the season after snapping his Achilles tendon. Maybe our midget forwards will now be able to score a headed goal on Saturday... https://sport.optus.com.au/news/pre...icester-city-sheffield-united-premier-league?
