Neils record suggest he is really robust and recovers exceptionally well game to game. No doubt lives an elite level lifestyle. Might be illness but surprised if it is any sort of muscular or fatigue injury. Part of why his value is high is his record on injuries, touch wood.

Neil wouldn’t come off the pitch for aleksic like

I get your point but it’s not one we could’ve rotated

a lot of our injuries are impact rather than muscle fatigue though so the two do not correlate re subs and injuries it’s just coincidence

Aye he is very robust. Experience and games gave got him to that point. He is very good in terms of getting mins on the pitch. That said, no one beats physiology and fatigue mate. No one.

Incorrect. Can not discount that. Fatigue and overplaying makes not only muscular strains and ligament sprains more possible but it also applies to impact. When fatigued, impacts become more significantly than they usually would be and cause greater damage.

    They do yeah.

but I wouldn’t say that’s what’s causing our injuries imo. Some lads have been on the end of some pretty serious tackles

    Anyway I don’t mind a

    Jobe
    AA Aleksic

    midfield

jobe can play the 6 very well and its physical. AA and aleksic are creative and last game Aleksic showed he has good defensive work too

Also, Hamstrings, Quads, Ligaments etc. I really do believe we have brought some of this on ourselves.

It's one of the areas the club hasn't seemed to improve under KLD and Speakman. There has been no news of them investing in technology and experts tl monitor fatigue etc... to reduce injuries? As I've said before I remember it was said under Big Sam we had stuff in place to monitor fatigue and rest/reduce the workload of players even during training to prevent injury, there was also that cryo chamber thing. Something must have worked as they kept that fella (kirchoff?) injury free!

It's not just injuries that the lack of subs cause, it's causing us to drop points. If you split the game up into 6 chunks of 15 minutes, we score more than we concede in all of them except the last 15 minutes. In the last 15 minutes of games we have scored 5 and conceded 8, 15 teams have scored more than we have in that period of games and only 5 have conceded more than we have in that period.

Yeah. I have said for an age there needs to be an overall of all sport science at the club. It's decent but not industry leading and on the cutting edge. It needs to be.

Cirkin would be a big miss. Alese just isn’t a LB

Seems to do alright one on one imo it’s just the ball in behind because the positioning for that is completely different to CB.

thankfully Sheffield United don’t look in behind the full back and he will do well tomorrow imo

He’s a decent defender but it massively weakens us going forward.

Cirkin has been poor since coming back from his injury imo, he is an elite LB at this level imo but last few games he hasn't seemed himself - possibly due to carrying an injury

Our fullbacks both need to be on it tomorrow against their wide players

Hume has to watch burrows. Hamer goes inside and burrows bombs on they looked for that diagonal ball countless times at their place

thankfully their right side is injured, gilchrist isn’t amazing and brooks is just coming through

I think roberts might have to track the run, let hume track Hamer - and smash him

Works also, burrows just kept bombing and bombing

Hamer doesn’t like getting hit, cries like a baby every time yet loves giving it out
