Draw was about right in the end, Wolves were tidy throughout but Forster had probably his quietest game since he came in.

that was my point though. It’s a squad game, and clearly, as you quite rightly pointed out with the number of hamstring injuries we have being uncommon, we certainly need (and rely on) a squad!

That triple sub made us worse. Maddison and Werner shocking.

We had actually improved -marginally - when the subs came on. Sarr in particular offered so much more than Bissouma.
But Maddison failed to make any sort of impact and we didn't deserve more than a draw.

Yeah definitely far too little impact. They all had moments but no real momentum shift on the game which is what we needed.

I feel for Ange as the injuries are making it really difficult for him but it would be understandable if trigger fingers were getting itchy now. I think he should see the season out personally but it would be far from the strangest thing if we were to make a change.

Mentioned this on the Ange and Lange thread. Turkish sources are usually tripe but the Besiktas presidential candidate, Serdar Adali, was literally on TV talking about it so it’s not a fake source or anything.

Terzic did well at Dortmund. Why did he leave?

Wolves can probably feel the more disappointed of the two to draw it, the second half was pretty much all them bar one or two counters from us.

Too many piss poor performances and results all season and from last too. Though as one or two others have said previously, I’m not even fuming or angry any more, just accepting of it.

The club is a mess, utter, utter mess.

Look forward to the annual Toon spanking next.

    Not sure tbh.

I still don’t want to think about a new manager albeit it feels inevitable we’ll have one soon. He wouldn’t be my preferred pick but I don’t think he’d be a terrible choice either. Based on what I saw at Dortmund, he’d get more out of the team than Ange… though that doesn’t seem hard for many at the moment.

Currently 11th but West Ham, Brentford and United have a game in hand and are all 1 or 2 points behind us. Could 14th before we next play.

No chance of top 4 and next to no chance on getting into top 6.

Can't see the point in Levy buying Ange targets if he is likely to sack him if results don't improve as the next manager won't want them.

Bentancur ruined a great performance with that late yellow.

The two Juve Alumni - as they did in Conte’s first half at Spurs - kept us competitive and in the game.

Kulu’s absolutely walked our POTY though already. He could be **** in every game from now til the end of the season and still easily win it.

Oooofft, 2024 represents our lowest points return in a calendar year for 16 years. We had 42 by the end of 2008.

There has to be some truth to that, otherwise it’s a bizarre thing to go on TV and discuss. Makes you wonder if the wheels are in motion behind the scenes, and it just a matter of time before the contractual stuff is sorted, before Ange is relieved.

Starting to feel really concerned about this huge banana skin now, when the draw was made it looked like a good opportunity for the likes of Austin, Dorrington and Lankshear to get 90 minutes in the bank, but right now I have no confidence that we will turn up with the right attitude for this sort of match, and whilst these players should all still play, the effect on their long term prospects could be catastrophic if we were to lose.
