Great result, achieved through a combination of scrapping for a clean sheet and being potent enough in attack. We actually had a higher xG than they did (I know, I know, but it's just indicative that it wasn't a smash and grab). Also great to see the limited, crap, League 1 players doing it yet again. Delighted for Longman and Slater getting the goal and assist, and for Jones showing yet again what a heroic defender he can be when we need one. A reminder that particularly in a relegation battle, we don't need every member of the squad to be a sexy fan favourite, and the unsung and permanently over-scrutinised players are often the ones who turn up most often over the course of a season.
We've managed to drag Stoke and Luton back in (not that they were ever out really). But one win for us and a loss for them and we'd probably go above them. The more teams catchable in one game the better.

Selles got the subs totally right , didn’t notice Simons at all but he’s just back from injury . They all showed heart , need Cody to pass it and not always look to beat a man - keep it simple first . Slater proved yet again he’s v good running at teams with the ball . Jacob was fine but tiring so sun right call .
