Wish he focused on his tactics first.

Maddison isn’t mobile enough for Ange imo.

In the bad times you simply focus on someone doing worse.

You're going to find it more and more difficult , so again there's another positive for you.

My theory is the tactics/ system kill players like Maddison. Ange seems so hellbent on scoring the perfect team goal all the time that it removes any individuality. It’s why we don’t see Son screamers or Maddison at his creative best. Porro’s screamers have died out too. We’re too focused on scoring a goal that usually involves about 15 short passes and a tap-in that we’ll rarely get to enjoy some individual moments of magic.

Just think of some of the players we’ve loved over recent-ish years; Bale, Berbatov, Dele, Eriksen, van der Vaart - plus Son and Kane… these players all had that maverick ability to make something out of nothing and enjoy that limelight, they were seemingly encouraged to do so by Jol/ Redknapp/ Poch too, I don’t think this system and tactics allows for such luxury players.

If that happens, someone (manager and/or physios) must be given the boot in disgrace.

There was a mention that the medical team were being scrutinised, IIRC it was around the time of the last international break, but not sure if any conclusions have been drawn

...well, unless if you believe what Besiktas' president said about us talking to Terzic, that could possible be linked to the conclusions

Lovely header, he’s weirdly brilliant at headers in the box.
