I don't think he's hated. He's been injured for a long while and is a left back. It would be far from ideal for him to have to be thrown in for too many minutes too soon, especially in a less natural role for the player.
Same as Kelly. Kelly is not even an average player and is one of our top earners. That must piss some of his team mates off.
I was hoping Kelly was the last of Howes underwhelming, stupid decisions but the noises about Lewin and Trafford aren’t great.
Lewin for free is fine by me provided he’s not getting paid silly money. There is a player in there. He’s just in a side that doesn’t create an awful lot of clear chances.
Well then Mitchell needs to man up, do his job and step in. Unless they are actually his choices in the first place. But let's blame Howe anyway for any transfers you don't like. And obviously he had no part at all in Bruno, Isak, Gordon, Botman, Tonali, Hall & Tino. Only all the **** ones.
Yeah it's DCL's wages that concern me. I think he's on a tidy sum at Everton. On a free transfer, he'd be good to have as cover. I wouldn't spend money on signing him though.
Steady on old chap, I don’t recall saying Howe hasn’t been involved in some great transfers, only that Barnes and Kelly - plus refusing to let Wilson, Trippier and Almiron go - wasn’t his, and the clubs, finest moment.
Exactly and don't forget most nufc fans were moaning about buying Gordon and looking at stat's in a **** team rather than what the players abilities are. For free DCL would be very good business... you've got to get a striker willing to play back up for Isak and one that offers something different as well. With psr being such a issue nufc would be able to strengthen elsewhere using any free cash.
An area where Howe needs to improve is winning away against the cartel six, in the league so far since he's been here he's only beaten Spurs. Man Utd are **** so tomorrow should be his second.
I think we could hammer them today. Go at them from the get go. Smash them up and make their fans end the year in a horrible way. They have beaten us badly over the years so it’s time we **** on their parade.
I'll take nothing for granted, especially at their place where it could well be 14 v 11 (or 16 v 11 including VAR). But, based on current form for both teams, this has to be a great opportunity to really hurt them. Like you say, start positively and get their fans on their back early on and it could be fun to watch. But I'll never write the scum off at their place.
