A bit of both for me.Internet shopping and society are both to blame. You can't blame anyone for shopping online though, they're looking after their finances.I went into Glasgow yesterday to change size in a jacket in the Fred Perry shop,£75 for a polo shirt you can buy online for anywhere between £39-£55? Society wise, they've just opened up another section of Sauchiehall St,all newly slabbed in a regeneration programme costing upwards of £7 million...Chewing gum all over the New paving, litter everywhere, beggars everywhere and just eat/deliveroo cyclists paying little or no regard to pedestrians or traffic lights. ****-Hole!!
My daughter came back from a five day stay in Paris Said it was awful Loads of beggars in the airport White ones too!! Homeless everywhere and quite threatening in their demands for money She’d never go back
Not to mention St enochs needing security Cos neddy scroates r ****s Its the people that ruin every good tjing
I think theres a name for going to paris and being disappointed Its an absolute dump that smells of piss Some great old buildings though
I think we’ll win today, got a good feeling about it. Hope Drameh starts, I think he’s unlucky have been on the bench. 1-0 Tigers
Not dissimilar to Brussels, the last time I was there I just didn't feel safe.Beautiful architecture in the City Centre but away from it,some of it has become a no-go zone.
People do ruin everything these days. There is no discipline, no deterrent, the UK has gone to **** imo. I used to love Glasgow, it was raw, but vibrant, but it’s gone to pot, I’ve been up twice in the last month and not enjoyed it at all.
Yes she said she’d do it in a day if she knew See the sights and get out Luckily her and her mate got chatting to an old couple and they stuck with them you hear about it afterward and you still worry !!
Thought it was just me getting old but people piss me off wherever I go. Don't feel particularly unsafe, just constantly annoyed with other people acting up.
You need to understand how the retail shop has big costs, rent or buy, city center business rates, enough workers on at least minimum wage to cover opening hours including weekends and possibly late nights. Compare that to on line which maybe a from home business or the likes of amazon with a massive warehouse and a handful of workers and some drivers working on a self employed basis or some other non contract type deal. Thats what we have got to, how to make it better is the question.
Whitefriar gate shop rental fees are disgraceful Youre punished for thinking about having a shop Its not like its the heart of milan
We can win today Its the championship We just need our best players to have really good performances instead of average Longmans usually good for at least one banger a season Could be today We are better than oxford, plymouth n cardiff
I fully understand the economics of online v high Street and I'm sure we both understand the need to buy what is the most attractive to us financially. There is no solution, shops have closed, are closing and will remain doing so.It's more evident now than ever before and of course no footfall,no restaurant,no pub customers, resulting in the same bleak future for those in hospitality and leisure.
