Off Topic TV series - good and bad

We’ve just watched the “first” series. We love it. Looking forward to that one now

 

You're welcome mate, it's a pain in the arse these days, you hear about a new show or film but whether you can get hold of it or not is another matter. Even if it's on Netflix say and you pay for Netflix it might be unavailable due to being region locked.

Fecking annoying.

 

My kids get everything, then I just sign in on theirs

 

Dodgy stick all ends up! Has almost everything going. Eve had a few gils before the cinema over here

 

I assume that people have fire sticks, rather than buy all the streaming channel's that are around these days, you can download either filmplus or teatv. Both these can stream films and TV series. You get ads at the start and end but they're usually quite good quality

 

Jus started watching NCIS Origins and so far is really good which has surprised me. I have watched most of the NCIS series and to be fair they became a bit crap but this one is a bit darker and more gritty with some flashback and memory storyline intertwined with investigations which has been good
.

 

I use Rolex and filmbox, paid subscription but very good service and quality

 

Just caught up on the Mortimer and Whitehouse Gone Fishing Christmas Special. Really enjoyable programme. Simple and effective tv. And yes Run for Home is a cracking song to finish with

 

I should have LOST finished in a couple of weeks time

Any suggestions on what to watch next? Something with plenty of series/episodes preferably

 

With being ill I have managed to watch all of the penguin. Absolute masterpiece that mind. Really good. Doesn't get much better for a mini series. Final episode a proper 10/10 for writing and casting.

Another vote for Slow Horses if you’ve not watched it. Really good fun.

 

Slow Horses is very good, also enjoyed Until Your Dead.

Just rewatched Severance in preparation for the second series starting next month.

 

Next month eh, good stuff first series was great. Been a long wait but the writer's strike happened pretty much first day of filming S2 which buggered everything up.

 

Heard only good things so it’s on my list

 

I mentioned earlier on here that From was really good. Made by the same company that did Lost. There’s three series so far and a fourth planned.

 

Binged watched Red Eye last night, 6 parter really enjoyed it.

 

definitely. Batman and that is not my usual thing, however, it was really good. Great casting and character development. Rate it highly.

 

House of Cards was brilliant...until the last series. Just wasn't the same.
