Ok maybe 50k was cheap but at the time I wouldn’t value him at much more. They could argue he’s in a bottom 3 team and looks like a l1 player. He runs around a lot and he…….he…..,well he…….doesnt do much more at the minute. He was carried last season by the quality around him…possibly ?
He's made 119 championship appearances and scored 8 goals. Whichever way you look at it 50k is cheap. Even at league one level where his state would obviously be much better that's incredibly cheap. Anyway it was just an observation that his fee didn't suggest sheff u knew what they were doing.
Hmmm I suppose you win some and lose some, at the time they obviously didn’t think he was worth more. On your theory you think he was, I don’t see it but hey ho
On my theory that a championship club were after him to be part of their playing squad? We weren't signing some youth player. I guess we'll agree to disagree.
50k for a young English player, who is flexible enough to play in a number of positions is extremely cheap for the Championship (or any professional league). Slater would have been a bargain at Conference level these days.
Totally messed up and didn't sort tickets for tomorrow as assumed it would be pay on the day. Don't suppose anyone has 2 adult tickets for sale do they please? Cheers.
I think we’ll win and turn in a proper good performance on account of the fact I’m probably gonna miss it.
To be honest I haven’t got a clue, all I know is with our lack of goals it’s putting the defence under more pressure. It’s getting to a point if the other team score we can’t win. Managing to get two against Swansea was unusual for us. I do think though that we compete pretty well most games and because of that there is always that chance of nicking a goal despite some of our awful misses. We will never score many though and that’s why clean sheets are needed.
