It’s obviously not ‘must win’ in terms of our league position but I’ll be massively disappointed if we aren’t coming away with 3 points. They’re awful
Incoming Stoke city’s best performance of the season and fighting to keep pelachs job (if he’s still there) in fairness it’s a cliche but no two games are the same and no championship game especially away is easy
I agree with you 100 percent mate, we have played the team's above us and the only one that really impressed me was Leeds and they pretty much gifted us a draw. We have played teams who have been in good form like Blackburn yesterday and gotten results, and we have slipped up in a few games and ended up drawing games we probably should have won. We have had some major injury worries and have a new manager who has had to bed in, all of that and we are still in touching distance. I bet those fans at Blackburn yesterday had faith in the team and so should we. We have kept on fighting all season with detractors constantly telling us about our young squad (this seems to have gone a bit quiet of late) and how consistency will be the key (I don't disagree). We have shown grit, skill, determination and a fair dollop of pragmatism to stay in touch, so I for one am excited to see how the season unfolds as I still expect a few surprises and shock results before the end.
Been thinking a bit more about this. Parker deserves a lot of credit for me. I appreciate they have a good swuad, but to produce a team conceding so few is a hell of a good coaching achievement. I am pleased he took his chance there. Lots of folk seem to think he coulnt work north of london, some that he wasnt upto the job. Twice he has managed in this league and twice he has won promotion. That really is top class coaching in anybodies book. Overall it is good to see british coaches doing well in the league too. Parker, Wilder, Eustace, Carrick, Cleverly.
I had them 1st in my prediction at the start of the season. Haven’t really been impressed by them until their recent run but even when they were playing poor they were still only a few points off the top. Got some big players coming back injury too
Josh Brownhill really showing his quality at this level 9 goals and 3 assists in 22 league games from the middle of the park is excellent.
He's one of those that's probably too good for the championship but not good enough for the PL Really like him as a player and meant to be a top lad
Their squad is **** and are out of ideas. They won't have a manager by then. They may run harder but we should comfortably have enough to outplay them. Only player I would swap out of our squads is the GK.
I know but there’ll be fighting spirit now which just makes it a harder game, I don’t think their squad is **** to be honest have some talented midfielders and forwards
Think Jon Walters (Stoke Sporting Director) needs to take a long hard look at himself mind. Sacked a decent manager in Schumacher just a couple of games into the season to replace him with a rookie. Surely if you are going to appoint someone like Pelach you do it in the summer to allow him to settle in? Was doomed from the start in my opinion. We should still be beating them mind.
Catch up mate Nah, in all seriousness they’ll probably get a bit of a lift for Sunday. Still think we should be beating them
