Pressure has gone up on him tenfold to step into the void left by Millar and Belloumi. He would’ve been able to develop at a better rate without the injuries but now expectation has gone up loads because he’s the “talisman”
He's the same age as Burstow... came with a reputation Burstow was the opposite end of the scale of and is half the player he is... he has had the opportunity to step up and for me has chosen not to take it...

Dont know if its confidence or what
But burstow looks twice the player kamara is

As annoying as his price tag is, he needs a loan back to League One to get his confidence up. He's not helping our cause and we have to think long term that if he's going to develop, he isn't going to do it playing crap every week in a team with no confidence.

The amount of money we spent on him is absurd when we’re discussing sending him out on loan for his development. How many Championship clubs drop £4-5 million on a player as a ‘development signing’? His price tag demands input and results now. If he’s not doing that, then we should sell him and try to recoup some of the fee we spent on him.

A massive squad of carefully selected bog standard panic buys and you can tell. Too early to say but the new coach seems fine just give him the new players early January or hang on till later and take the cheap left overs again. Still good enough to stay up though.

when you think, we made 4 significant financial signings this summer. 2 out with ACL, one out for 8 weeks with Hamstring, having been out for was it 4 with appendicitis, and one thats not very good... then an expensive loan keeper who did his ankle out for 3 months... and Palmer...

I said a few weeks ago that we needed two wins and draw before the half way point to be out of the bottom three as it only takes one result to dump us back in it and we need to be more in control. We’ve seen why with Oxford today. The teams around us still have games in hand too. Sunday is another must win in my eyes. We need to string some good results together, fast.

Yes but we can’t just click a button and sell him. Which clubs are going to be interested in buying a player that’s done nothing all season for even half of what we paid for him? He’s on a four year contract too, so the cost of paying that up is going to cost a club a lot of money and I don’t know if we’re in a position to write off a £4m signing for less than half of what we paid.

If he spends the second half of the season at somewhere like Wrexham or Charlton, at least he’s getting games at a level he is used to and we can make a judgement in Summer as to what to do with him.

Thought the lads fought well and definitely see Selles influence.

Just missing that cutting edge and a few dynamos in the team.

I’m more confident we will pull away from relegation.

I can see a clear difference in the way we play and we don’t look as hopeless.

Those two Slater chances across the two games, you’d have to think somebody like Koren would have smashed those in no danger.

Strange really as he usually quite accomplished at finishing.
