I think its justified for us to show our sympathy for poor brucey.

Over the next few weeks while we are enjoying the comforts of our homes in various parts of the world, carrying out our normal daily routines and for those in the UK lapping up our fantastic weather, poor brucie.

Poor lad will be slumming it in some fancy hotel in Antigua with his her in doors.

Not for him the enjoyment of the cut and thrust of work, no, sun, sea and swimming pools will occupy his days, then there are the nights. No Corrie, Eastenders or Emmerdale for him, no topical debate shows with Jeremy Kyle or laughter with The One Show, no, not for him. He will be expected to eat exotic foods and sample local alcoholic drinks.

We hope you survive Brucie and return to us in one piece, we will be thinking of you and your agony.

I really appreciate the concern syd my friend.

I din't think i'd be able to drag my way through it, but with your kind words and support i feel i will be able to stay strong, and return all the better (and browner) for it.

Tragically, it was a mere 28degrees and 8 hours of sunshine yesterday, what will i do....

Beak, Don't fret old lad. I'll save you a bucket of rain watter for when you get back. Hope you come through the ordeal unscarred.

Just a thought, why dont we have a pool and vote for one of us to sacrifice our time by going in Bruceys place, at his expense of course.

I'm prepared to lay my body on the line, dont tell your lass Brucey, it will be a nice surprise for her.

Think i'm gonna bite the bullet and force myself to go mate, but again, thanks for the warmhearted and generous offer.

As a point, i spoke to the bloke at tht Carlisle Bay, where we are staying, yesterday, it was 29 and sunny.

    How will i cope...

What do you mean, first morning and she comes out of the shower to see me, 62, overweight and farting draped on the bed in spangled thong, nice seems the perfect word to me, dont you agree. I can hear the sound of Mrs Bruceybeak being sick.
