You don't half talk some shyte It'll be the biggest gate, by quite a few thousand, in the Championship. Why should it be packed on a day when people will be leaving the ground at nearly 10pm with hours of driving ahead? This is after Boxing Day with no public transport and 7,000 travelling. What this means, for some, is two of the festive days when they can't have a drink ... ... not everyone lives within walking distance of the ground. If it had been expanded to 60,000 should it be packed
WTF are the stewards doing, pushing people back off a f*cking crash barrier ... ... just f*ck off and mind your own business.
Shame that was on the video as the passion and noise was outstanding. I'm wondering what game it was. Luton in the play-offs maybe?
Cheers mate, you're one of the best ... best wishes to you all. Make sure you tell them how well you're regarded on here, Happy Christmas from us all.
Every one of us would want to be at the match there way the lads are playing these days. I'm the same, I would like to be there but the family are away for new year so it's just me and the missus so it will probably be a day out and finish off watching at home - something I wouldn't even contemplate years ago. You must do whatever is best for you mate, the club will still be there
Sometimes reality gets in the way of football mate … … it’s very poor when people criticise our gates tbh. It’s especially bad when we’ve sold out our allocations for two away games. The logistics of going to the Sheff Utd game are easy for some but seriously difficult for others. For the Norwich game I travelled from Fife with a dozen Kirkcaldy lads, had lunch with safcfansofaraway, who’d driven from Cornwall, and met people in the Museum for a few pints. They were from Gateshead, Bristol, Oxford, Stansted. Rotherham and Sheffield. Anyone saying the stadium should be packed, on a day when there’s no public transport, shows an ignorance of our support base tbh … … not everyone can be home in 30 minutes.
Was pissing about on phone pissed last night, something I hadn’t really picked up on is just how much opposition supporters rate us doing ‘Wise Men Say’ Now for me and many of us, as we all know it’s one of the most emotive and beautiful parts of a matchday; but there’s videos galore on socials of home fans sharing us doing it with ‘wow’ comments etc. Almost brought a tear in pride to my pissed ass. I imagine tomorrow is a bit special with 7.5k.
Tomorrow’s just unexpectedly opened up for me. Any single tickets going ? I’m 3 train stops away. Could introduce you to a cracking bar in Darwen in return. Inbox me if it’s a goer
