I more look at things the opposite way around, rather than something visiting us, what if humans found something, and how would we approach that situation - because from what i've seen of humans we are very destructive. Is there even a protocol for such a situation, then you'd have all the super powers arguing over it, especially if any found species was between us and a resource we need.
