Personally I dont think we need too much, we have a happy balanced squad although slightly thin, i would go for:
Mannone or Stell on a permanent deal
Possibly a young CB, however not really a priority, we have Cooper, Macca (i know, not ideal) and Evans can play there)
Dont need a CM, We have McKenna, Koren, Evans, Cairney, Oli, Harper all able to play there
Think we will get Bradey back on loan, he will sign a new contract at Utd then return to us.
A forward is a priority, i read in the Burnley programme that Stewart recommands a lad called Diouf from utd, maybe worth a loan shot

On the Barmby front, i seem to remember reading that AP said he wanted the job but also wanted to be able to step down and carry on playing if he wasnt ready or good enough to manager us. Personally I think he has proved he is, in 4 games we have scored 7, looked great and dominated games (hence my thought of not needing whole changes)

that was supposed to be a new thread about Barmby. 'Effin Phones Man!' to paraphrase the famous Mike Skinner!

As I understand it, Sharp is coming to us in Jan as he's unhappy with the current situation at Donny. Could be a great acquisition looking at his current form.

The keepers we're looking at are Steve Harper, Dorus de Vries and Chris Kirkland.

Of that lot, I hope we get de Vries.

I'd take any of them, Kirkland's probably the best but there's the injury issue.

Harper has been number 2 most of his career so who knows if he's still that great (not sure how he did at Brighton), he could be a bit of a let down like when Cuducini went to Spurs.

De Vries would be a reliable if uninspiring signing. Nothing against him, as the least well known of the 3 he'll probably fit into the squad better than the others! He's definitely good enough

No way should we be looking at Kirkland, he's extremely injury prone. Harper and de Vries look like good choices, I've always thought Harper was a very good keeper who shouldn't have stayed around so long to play second fiddle at Newcastle.

DeVries is reknowned for starting attacks by bringing the ball out of the pen box and passing, so would fit with our passing game. Also, we would have a De Vries playing for us again after 30 odd years!! Only thing is why did he leave Swansea and why hasn't another club taken him?

Kirkland I've always thought as overrated, but beggars can't be choosers!!

Isn't Harper a bit old? He'd be an injury nightmare looking for somewhere to happen just like Basso.

Is this from you "contact" Scoots?

OOps! Forget that, I've just realised De Vries is at Wolves.

Info definitely reliable Strov, I don't rate Kirkland at all, but I'm a bit of a fan of de Vries.

Kirkland has a glass body. Not the keeper he was.
Harper's decent probably only has a year or 2 left in him.
De Vries always seemed pretty solid and reliable.

If I was pushed, I'd go for Harper and keep looking for the longer term.

I think we have enough youth to be honest, Id prefer an old head at CB who has plenty of experience. Just like Wayne Brown did for us in our promotion season.

Have to agree when watching Swansea last year De Vries in goal did have quality distribution, however he never really seemed to have to do anything else apart from that when i have seen him.

    A keeper (a fit Mannone)

An improved Liam Cooper and maybe Kilgallon

A fit again Pusic and Brady retained on loan, Olifinjana and Garcia as well

BLOODY WELL GIVE KOREN AN IMPROVED CONTRACT!!!!!!!

A forward: Macheda would be good! (I wish the Billy Sharp rumours were true), Is Diouf coming? (6'1" Senegalese striker)

Once again all on the cheap (apart from Sharp).

Maybr some more cash will be forthcoming in the summer as we build for the Prem the following year.

How years has McKenna got left?

    McKenna's contract runs to 1st July 2013.

I've heard the Macheda rumour from several people, but not from anyone at the club.

Horsham, I've jumped ship from the Mannone thing ever since Scoots reported the 3 keeper thing. Like Vito a lot but his succeptibility (sic) to injury worries me. I'm warming to the Dorus De Vries rumour. Just know we HAVE to replace Gulasci if we are to mount a challenge.

Given to £3m fee for Sharp I cannot see us shelling out that kind of money so Macheda or Diouf would be good although I think Diouf would be the better option for th Championship as he is more physically capable.
