Match Preview;
Our Boxing Day hosts this year, Swansea City, sit 11th in the table with 27 points. They've lost their last two, away to Hull and at home to Sunderland, and before that they beat Plymouth and drew the two games before that. Their manager, Luke Williams, is approaching a year in charge of the club, and has so far won 16, drawn 10 and lost 20. He'll be hoping for an improvement if Swansea are to even consider a possible return to the top flight. Their squad is a nice balance of experience, with the likes of Joe Allen and younger players like Ronald and Franco. Their top scorer this season is Liam Cullen, with six goals.

As for us, if you'd have told me at the beginning of November we'd go into Christmas pushing for a spot in the top half of the table I probably wouldn't have believed you. Since November 1st, we've lost two, drawn four and won four...those 16 points have seen us move well clear of the danger zone, and if this form continues we should finish comfortably in the top half of the table. It was particularly encouraging to see a few players return on Saturday, although worrying to see Cook limp off after an awkward fall before their goal.

I was pleased to see the bookies favoured us for the win against PNE.

It's back to business as usual for this one!

Optimistic me reckons they’ve lost two on the bounce including to an absolute **** Hull team so it’s probably a good time to play them.

Realistic me would snap your hand off for two points from these two games then I fancy us against Watford.

 

Yep, I'd take the point now but MC has other plans I'm sure.

 

The way we have set up away from home recently a point seems to be the objective, though we’ve had a bonus win as well. He always says he wants to win, but sometimes it doesn’t look like it.

I hope he goes for it on Boxing Day, they are in a slump and we are doing ok.
