Funny how a Colombian is one of the only players int he team tough enough to play with short sleeves.
We’d be relegated already if Allsop was in goal considering Pandur essentially won us 2/4 of our games.
Interesting that Pandur is on 0. Ive thought he is decent but fairly unspectacular - basically not quite as good as some of the praise he is getting. But I guess that’s probably better than most of the side so far this season so it does make sense.
I agree. As I said the other day, he’s had some very good games, some not so good games, and mainly stood out by and large because the outfield team has been so abhorrently **** and left him needing to make a lot of saves. Many of them routine. Also the 0 is excluding penalties, he’s on -0.2 including penalties.
its never a good outlook if your keeper has to make a lot of saves is it then again, since walter left, i bet the shots against us has reduced quite a lot
I think aside from the Derby goal and his distribution in the Plymouth game, Pandur has been faultless. QPR was one of the best goalkeeping performances I’ve ever seen. He’s done very well at keeping us in most games, unfortunately those in front have let him down. He’s been sitting at around 1/1.5 xG prevented. It massively dropped after Blackburn after conceding the OG as Blackburn only generated 0.04 xG from their shots on target so he lost 0.96 from that stat.
He said he’s ever seen and I’d agree with him. In my time supporting city it’s probably up there. Only Myhill’s vs Spurs immediately springs to mind as better
…and that’s why you always have to take stats with a pinch of salt. According to Fotmob, Pedro is out second worse player this season (only just in front of Omur) - with a rating of 6.36.
I can see it to be fair, a few weeks ago he was getting slated to ****. He’s been a victim of being forced to try and be pretty much the exact opposite of the player he is so I would imagine his stats ain’t that good.
Faultless and best goalkeeping ever seen is just so over the top it's unbelievable. If he's half as good as you and others make our we'll be seeing him leave in January for the Premier league. Don't get me wrong I'm glad he's improved from the preseason shambles but he's a bang average keeper. This may change as he's only young
Pandur is absolutely fine. No worse, no better, he’s fine. Could we get promoted with him as keeper? Yes probably. Could we get relegated with him as keeper? Yes probably. He’s arguably player of the season so far and he’s done a good job since he came in - but I don’t think any other club above us will be looking at him either.
