Brid Town announced the signing of ex Tiger midfielder Ahmed Salam on a 28-day loan from Alfreton Town. He played the whole game in the 3 - 1 away defeat to Bradford Park Avenue. Recent signing Alex Peterson broke his arm in the game.

    Grimsby ****jng borough!!!!!WTF

why we aren’t forming a good relationship with Scarborough I don’t know
They’re struggling this season and surely sending them two or three is a better level Than Grimsby borough

They are in the Northern Premier League Division One East. Which is the 8th tier on the football pyramid. 2 teams get promoted and 4 get relegated. They're currently 11th. 11 points of the play-offs

Liversedge, Stocksbridge and Brighouse are also at that level. But yeah I doubt any of our loans currently out will feature at all for us when these are the leagues our players are currently playing in:

3 players in League Two (Tier 4) - Fleming and Jones seem to be regular starters but Furlong is usually on bench

1 in National League (Tier 5) - Sandat started off as a starter but now is usually an unused sub and only starts in cup competitions

5 in Northern Premier League Division One East (Tier 8) - All seem to be regular starters. Chibanga usually comes off the bench. Even in his 1st spell

The fact is a lot of the lads who are in tier 8, have the technical ability but they’re just so far off physically that these are the only levels by which they’ll actually get a chance.

We need to revamp the way players are brought through in terms of a physicality perspective

According to Baz this morning, we're close to signing a loan player and hope to get him before the TWS game. No names or position mentioned.

He keeps accidentally on purpose mentioning James McAtee at Manchester City.

I can forgive the younger ones at lower clubs, some of them might not drive and for others like Chibanga it’s their first time away from the club and the city (well, not Chibanga as he’s a Donny soldier).

Would be a cracking signing. Though, surely Sheffield would want him back?

Scarborough probably don’t want any more **** players if they’re already struggling.
I think if they wanted any of our players they’d take them, the fact is, we don’t actually have any good players to loan them.

I don’t keep as much of an eye on the academy as I did in previous seasons, can somebody tell me why Jake Leake wasn’t loaned out? Was that because we didn’t have cover for Giles?

This is unfortunately the truth. For whatever reason we don’t seem to have a decent crop of U21s. Hall I think is the best of them and he only managed a loan at Liversedge.

If I’m the manager at Scarborough, I wouldn’t be looking at signing young lads who couldn’t get in the first team at clubs three divisions below.
