I agree. It's so boring. Ball moves slightly forwards but mostly sideways for 3 seconds, everybody piles on, roll around on the floor for a minute, ball moves slightly forwards but mostly sideways for 3 seconds, everybody piles on, roll around on the floor for a minute, ball moves slightly forwards but mostly sideways for 3 seconds, everybody piles on, roll around on the floor for a minute, ball moves slightly forwards but mostly sideways for 3 seconds, everybody piles on, roll around on the floor for a minute, etc etc etc zzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
You forgot all the kicking Jip. Kick, catch, kick it back, catch, kick it back, roll around on the floor a bit more... Rugby league is better. But football is the best.
Completely agree. "Ouch, you tackled me!" "Don't worry about it, you have five minutes to recover whilst we all get into lines again" No wonder they're all so fat...
U obviously dont understand it chaps...the ball NEVER moves fwd out of hand! Still...most things are tricky to follow if ur a Manc!
I've tried to watch rugby and I even used to play back in the day. The problem for me is that it lacks genuine excitement. There are no 'goals out of nothing'. A try is pretty much an eventuality and you can see it coming a mile away. It seems to me that there are very few upsets either. Italy, Argentina and the like never seem to get one over NZ, Australia, etc.
I dunno, when you get a line break it's pretty exciting. But cos they're all in a line it basically ends up with one guy legging it up the field whilst everyone else chases them. Which is nothing to compare to Giggsy's magnificent effort in 99 against Le Arse!
Agreed. The magic of that Giggs solo effort was that it could end at any moment (with Arsenal players surrounding him) and a goal wasn't certain until the moment it hits the roof of the net. I mean, what exactly is the rugby equivalent of Rooney's goal against City? If they just changed the the rules in rugby so that the goal line is the space between the posts rather than the space between the corner flags - it would be far more interesting Rugby League is slightly more entertaining.
