I'm not annoyed about losing to Liverpool. I agree with you. But why can’t we play differently knowing they’re so much better than us? Be a bit more defensive and hope we can pick them off? Or maybe try and get a draw? Playing like this was always going to end in defeat, and possibly a rout.
Playing like this, with this squad is problematic. So we either sack him and try some other unpronounceable foreign coach, or bring in the right players to play the Ange ball style. Over to you Daniel...
I think we’re seeing why Ange has 25 years working in the B-Leagues. Don’t get me wrong, just as probably most managers could, if you give them quality players they could achieve better results (and that’s what we should do). But if the board were banking on him being another Poch they’ve got it horribly wrong.
Feel really sorry for (particularly) Spence and Gray. They've both stuck to their tasks and don't deserve to be in the end of a thrashing.
I think Ange will survive this still got 8 players missing from our match day squad, you take 4 of the starting back 5 out of any team and they will be easier to play against. We have played a lot worse in other games than this one just today its against the best team in the country on current form.
With a squad decimated by injuries and the high intensity football we play, this approach was always likely to end like this. He has to adapt and not be so one eyed in every game. The one positive is that it must be clear to Levy this team needs heavy investment if he wants the Ange project to have any chance of success.
The other issue will be holding on to our few decent players who will no doubt want to be playing better level football.
