They’re just so much better than us.

Both in terms of personnel and coaching.

Expected us to lose this though so can’t say I’m too pissed, albeit I’m disappointed at how easy it is for them, but with four of our main back five out there was no way we were keeping Salah and co out. If it stays like this I have the perfect prediction on Spurf’s thread too - 1-3 and Maddison!

Didn't expect anything from this match.

They are light years ahead of us even without all our injuries.
Only 1 home win the premier league this weekend. That must be some kind of record

I think today it was always going to be a case of they would be way too good for us. They rested pretty much their whole team Wednesday whereas we have to play the same team who played Thursday.

That being said, it is always dissapointing when goals are gifted rather than any difference in class really showing.

Yeah I get what you mean, but it’s relentless pressure that they are putting on us that makes it inevitable. They had about 5 other chances I can remember that they easily could have scored from as well.

I don’t rate Dragusin at all. Still to see what the fuss about him was. Gray is better than him at CB which considering he’s a midfielder and 18 years old that’s damning.

I’m not surprised but I’m a little disappointed they have scored 3 already.

Hopefully Liverpool try and manage the game in the second half and spurs push on to try and salvage something.

    Wishful thinking!

Ange Postecoglou is the first Tottenham manager to see his side concede three or more first-half goals on multiple occasions since Andre Villas-Boas in November 2013 and the second to do so at home after Martin Jol in 2007.

I’m hoping Liverpool decide to take it easy this half out of pity… and having the Christmas spirit.

All that is missing from that, is a knife from behind into his kidney.

Like quite a few players, I don't think the system brings the best out in him. As a traditional CB in a regular back 4, I think he'd excel. But the system as it is just isn't for him. Even Romero looks horrendous half the time in this system. Micky is the only one who looks comfortable in it, and that is only because he is freakishly quick.

There is also absolutely no one in midfield to seize control of games like this.

We neglected it in the summer, has to be a priority in January if possible.

Gray > Dragusin for sure. And Spence is better defensively than Porro, so we're pretty lopsided from that pov.

Worse than that, it would appear there isn't even such
players in the academy pipeline that are at worst
two seasons away from being tried.

Why was Porro so high up the pitch? His fault or is Ange telling him to be that high up the pitch?
