    It's not the truth.
If it was the truth there would be no need for me to call you Islamophobic'.

Only to people like you who are anti something they obviously know very little about

Just so you know in Britain there are things that are being implemented today that shariah had 1400 years ago. This includes the whole climate change hoo haa which is 'modern'

The welfare state itself in this country has origins in shariah

And under shariah women would have more equality than what we have today.

As mentioned before women had righst such as inheritence, divorce etc under shariah while over here we were comparing brain sizes

A female, Salafi candidate running for Egypt’s parliament, Mona Salah, asserts that “women are deficient in intelligence and religion,” and that it is impermissible for them to take over the presidency.

She is, of course, only quoting the words of her prophet Muhammad. After being asked why he said most of the inhabitants of hell are women, he replied: “You [women] curse frequently and are ungrateful to your husbands. I have not seen anyone more deficient in intelligence and religion than you. A cautious sensible man could be led astray by some of you.”

Despite this unflattering depiction of her gender, Mona Salah defended her candidacy by pointing out that a position in the people’s council invests her only with “partial” authority, not “absolute” authority, as in the case of the presidency, which requires a male.

Yet, even a position with “partial” authority would not seem to get around Muhammad’s point that even “a cautious sensible man could be led astray by some of you [women].” Perhaps that is why Salah was quick to assure that “she would strive to apply the Islamic Sharia, cutting the hands of thieves, preventing the intermingling of sexes, and having women dress in black garments, men in white.”

    She must be 'Islamophobic' too.

Firstly you have to look at how 'islamic' this woman or the country is

Secondly you have taken a hadith unrelated to the topic.

What you forget is that Muhammad used to work for his wife, who was a business woman

What you have shown is your lack of knowledge of shariah, by taking the words of someone is (from your post) wrong on at least 3 levels, based on shariah

Not Islamophobic, but certainly talking bubbles

Certainly more Islamic than this one, despite it being rather secular.
Perhaps we should ignore your views on Islam, as you're from an even less Islamic country than she is?

    Because...?

Why is she wrong on at least 3 levels?
You frequently make claims like this without substantiating them.

was wondering where you were <ok> <laugh>

As i have mentioned to you before there are no Islamic countries at the moment (based on shariah), so this country is no more or no less Islamic than egypt
Again i use shariah as the basis for me saying this.

You are of course welcome to ignore my views on Islam as there is no compulsion in Islam. But as explained in a previous discussion with you (I believe) the rules apply differently to leaders and the public

The reason the hadith is unrelated to the topic is that we are talking about something different to what the hadith is linked to/pointing to. Again the hadith itself is correct what isnt is that it isnt talking about intelligence in the sense that TH was implying

Its like me saying to you that you are stupid or
The way your mum looks after you and you treat her you are stupid

The second isnt about you being stupid in general but in relation to how you treat your mother

I dont see this as ME not substantiating, the reason being that someone has cited a belief/view and it is incorrect
They are IMO arguing about something they know little about.

Not knowing the 3 things proves they know nothing.

Egypt's population is about 90% Muslim.
It's clearly a more Islamic country than this one, based upon the it's population, if not it's laws.

    What rules?
Her position is irrelevant to whether she's correct or not.

    Thank you for your clarification.
    It's still rather vague, though.
What exactly was the area that women lacked intelligence and religion in?

PMT is often used, sometimes successfully,as a valid defence in murder trials.
Would you want a leader suffering with PMT being in charge of the launch codes which could destroy the world.
Seems the Muslims were the first to realise how volatile moody women can be.

As I said I am basing this on shariah. Population doesnt mean anything if the laws etc of the country are not Islamic and in cases are anti Islamic

The rules I refer to are also shariah rules. Position, whether in terms of politics, social or family situations determines the laws that affect you from a shariah perspective. So in a family situation the laws applying to the husband/father can be different to those applying to the mother/son etc

That particular hadith I believe was regarding moaning/whinging about your partner. As in the example I gave you its specific to those who are crude and rude to their spouses. There is also many similar for men with regards to their spouses too. This particular one was aimed at women and bare in mind I dont know the authenticity of this hadith

Its like the example I gave you

It's undeniably a more Islamic country than this one.
90% Muslim, compared to 2.8% here.

    It's irrelevant, anyway.
As you've previously claimed that there are no Islamic countries in the world now, you're reduced to dismissing everyone's opinion, based upon your previous criteria.

And what relevance does this have as to whether he opinion is correct or not?

So it's referring to one particular group of women?
    Thank you for clarifying.

I didn't claim that they were any better.
It was an example of leaders that weren't women going to war for political gain.
