I read an article about Thailand, where the biggest industry is tourism. There are thousands of sole traders running food stalls and if you go in a restaurant you are likely to order your food on a tablet and have it delivered to your table by a robot. There are few unions and hardly any welfare system so people strive to look after themselves and their families. In this country sole traders are likely to be plumbers or electricians or other types of tradesmen. If you order takeaway it is likely to be delivered by an illegal immigrant working for a big corporation, with no union representation and minimal claim on the welfare system. Now if the big corporations decide to replace the delivery operatives with Chinese manufactured drones, what do the former occupants of those jobs do to get by? We could offer them free flights to Rwanda...

The whataboutery from the extreme left is huge. I don't think they'll ever accept that 'others do things too' is not really any sort of defence, and looks far more like condoning the actual terrorists and perverts.
