One last point or so , we passed and moved played on the turn and whisky I’ve been Slaters biggest critic apart from the glaring miss he fitted in well today receiving and going .
It won't be long now Vern. Just be patient and you'll find the right person to experience it with. Maybe one of those dry bumings you're obsessed with.
swansea manager not happy. says his team got exactly what they deserved. https://jackarmy.net/2024/12/21/swans-tv-luke-williams-on-hull-city-reaction/
Looking good for a treble for me today so far. Ellas Syrou won 5-0 to stay clear on top of the Greek 3rd division group 3 (listened live in Greek), City won 2-1 (Sky Sports), and now Hampton have come back from 1-0 down to lead 2-1 (watching live at the Beveree). A football feast!
Think the lack of cards helped us today. Puerta would probably have had one from other officials which might have reduced his impact on the game.
2-1 flattered them. Genuinely we should’ve been 3-1 up at half time. Then Pedro gave away that chance from the dodgy back pass. It would’ve been criminal had we drawn that today
That’s our best attacking performance of the season. Pedro goal, Puerta post then Longman cleared one off the line. Pedro should’ve then scored. Longman post, Burstow goal. This is a season altering win
And, we’re back. Merry Christmas to all. An early Xmas pressie, a well deserved win at long last, 3 points, buzzing like the proverbial fridge. Overall performance not too shabby either, plenty of hunger shown, 2 goals, could/should have been more, not complaining though. Thought Longman and Slater ran themselves into the ground, Burstow looking better and better. You could see work done on the training ground, my only criticism would be that we really do need to work harder on our throw ins! Anyway, the great footie feeling is back, enjoy everyone, long may it continue. Be rude not to celebrate, Happy Christmas. UTT.
Selles made some nice adjustments with allowing Giles the freedom to push on. Him and Longman are making a nice partnership. I think it does highlight there’s the quality to create the chances just been lacking that final killer moment. Burstow’s finish was hopefully a sign of more to come. That being said their keeper had a genuine nightmare today.
Decent display from Giles today, and the bullshit about his body language is just that, bullshit. At the final whistle he was the first to celebrate the win at the east stand, then across to the north stand. The views expressed in my posts are not necessarily mine l.b
Thought Giles benefitted from having Hughes backing him up on the left side today and had his best performance in city colours. The rule still stands regarding Sunderland fans thinking a player is ****e and they prove otherwise with us, think Burstow will go from strength to strength after today. Great performance
Our shape put so much pressure on his distribution. Pedro marked Grimes all game, depending on which way the keeper was facing depended on which of Puerta and Slater marked Fulton. Won the ball back so many time, it was brilliant. When you have lesser quality attackers, setting up how we did to hit in transition is perfect. Less defenders to beat, easier to get shots off
