Getting more & more excited about this. Probably just me being me & looking half glass full but agree. Said a few pages ago, if only we’d ditched the clown earlier. Still that’s done & very much looking forward to the coming weeks.
Bet those are the same people saying we should have gone for Potter, despite him having the worst win percentage of any manager at Chelsea for 30 years.
Reading about him, his style seems similar to Ralph, except maybe a bit more defense conscious. As long as we beat Derbys points record, close the gap above and make it close, it will be a success for me. Saving us from relegation would earn him a statue.
Yeah, after the Wolves game for me, he had a chance to prove himself by then and it was clear he was going to keep making the same mistakes.
Even AFCB but yes Wolves was the watershed. I thought it might have been the officiating that saved him but obviously not from what we’ve read this week. Thank **** for the Spuds!
Ivan it all! Ivan it all! Ivan it all! And Ivan it now! I've gone from knowing nothing about the man to being deeply in love with him. Can he turn it around? Probably not, but at least it might bring back a few giggles.
Well we all know how good SR are at fireworks!! Win win!! Welcome to the club Gaffer!! Can't wait to see how we get on!!
Danny Rohl's just done his pre-match press conference. Was asked about Saints... "I think the most important key point is that I’m here, that I’l take the game tomorrow," Röhl told the media. "It’s always an honour when you’re linked with Premier league clubs, and people know my history (at Southampton), it was a part of my life. But the most important key point is the game tomorrow. "My decision is clear, I will stay here at Sheffield Wednesday. "The club knows my ambitions, I think we have agreed that we want to improve and attack higher positions in the table and we know what that means in January… "I’m here, I love this club, I love the supporters and I love my team. We’ve achieved a lot, but our journey is not over. We’ll try to keep improving as a team."
To be fair, it works well for Rohl. He stays where he's settled, now gets extra backing in January and in the summer he'll have a clearer picture and the potential that Saints (and other clubs) come back in for him, if he is open to moving and wants a fresh challenge
Presume he’s still on good terms with Torino? We should take a look at that striker they have - scored a fifty yard banger the other week.
In that case, beyond hoping Juric keeps us up, we are also hoping Sheffield Wednesday don't go up. By which point - obviously - Rohl gets poached by another team anyway. It is the true Saints way.
