Interesting he plays in a similar way to Ralph. Hopefully that then lends itself to getting Danny in the summer.
So I’m disappointed it’s not Rohl if I’m honest, primarily because I think he would be the right guy to set us up for next season, it would represent a longer term plan and I don’t really think it’s great to be looking at another big reset in 6 months. However I accept that it would be a big risk to offer a 2.5 month contract when there is a good chance we continue to take hidings through the season and from SRs perspective I imagine the worry is if they spend the money for Rohl or Corberan they get tainted by the remainder of the season and the fan base turns before they can actually get to the bit they have been brought in for. For the terms of the contract and our situation, Juric is probably among the best you could get, although I can’t help but feel a bit disappointed still. Let’s see how it goes I suppose.
I'm okay with this under the circumstances, and I suspect we could get Rohl in the summer either way (and could afford him then). It does annoy me that we procrastinated for so long that we cut our own legs off though.
Presumably Juric will be in the stand on Sunday and will take charge for the first time on Boxing Day.

Agree. Think Dibling will. He’ll put Downes in one position rather than make him try to do 2- 3 different things. Think contract length is great as he’ll have nothing to lose so will just go for it.
Know nothing about him, but very positive after reading this. Defensive tactician that gets the most out of small teams by aggressively pressing and countering. Sounds like exactly what we need.
He liked to play a 3-4-2-1 with Torino which I think will work with our squad: Ramsdale THB Bednarek Wood/Stephens/new CB Sugawara Downes Fernandes KWP Dibling Lallana/New AM Archer
IMHO I think it’s a good appointment. To me this shows SR are trying to have a go to stay in premier league (as difficult as it will be). If by some miracle we do, then he may stay on, but if we are relegated it opens up where the club want to go then as the Rohl’s, Coboran’s of this world and their positions become clearer.
