My mate, a former STH at the Vic (and we used to watch the reserves at Northwood, regularly - any excuse for a pint!) used Cancun as a base but took the more "adventurous" trips out and overnight stays. Seen all manner of pyramids and wildlife. He's also been to Argentina, Chile, and Bolivia, plus he has distant family in Venezuela courtesy of one of those DNA testing sites. He's been published in Wanderlust and Sunday Times /or/ Telegraph (travel) Magazine too. Currently working on a novel in his spare time. Sort of a Bryson meets Pratchett which is a lot to live up to. His poetry is pretty good too! Actually getting properly published is seemingly as difficult as getting a reasonable recording contract... Actually another good pal of mine had a book published. Quite a decent story but he's a YEC / Ken Ham follower, so the "science" as he presents it is complete bunkum! A pity, he is lost. Seriously lost. I used to take him regularly to "see" his team as he's blind, and give him a commentary. Those days are, sadly, long gone. Oddly he was the catalyst for my atheism. Probably the wrong thread, but hey ho.

Had a look at the Udi game tonight. Some of the defending was pure comedy. I am sure they will be happy with an away win.
