Where I am at. I think Rohl may have reservations, so maybe Carlos is the one. I want someone to really want to take us on, not have reservations.
Interesting. Rohl Is my preference but like you say, if he’s unsure maybe not then. I’ll get behind Carlos!
Can't say I am excited by Corberan at all. But when you are bottom of the league and pretty much already relegated, we can't really expect much more. I do worry about what happens if we hand him a long term deal and don't really improve much this season.
Thing is mate, I don't know. The target(s) I'd want are completely unachievable now due to SR allowing us to be quite so ****ed. What I do know is that signing Corberan is literally repeating the same mistakes they made with Jones and Martin. Appointing middle of the road Championship managers who have never achieved anything but apparently have done well (measured by some unknown metric) in their respective smaller clubs. Corberan is such a tactical genius that he got done over by Martin quite comprehensively. He'd be ****e
DTLW asked on X why so people are against Corberan.. My concern is our record against the top 6 last season - and if I’m not mistaken the majority of the top half - was poor. Yet we beat his side 3 out of the 4 times we played them, and drew the other one..
A stint in the prem pre relegation (should it happen) for either would give insight in planning for the season following immediate promotion (should it happen).
And the fact Corberan thought he was a player for a second and got sent off for touching the ball while in play.
I bet if Corberan had been in charge of Saints last season and Martin in charge of West Brom, then we would still have won 3, probably 4 of those games.
