Hmmm, need more than one half against a second string Liverpool team to convince me of that. I mean Martin's tactics have clearly made us worse than we should be but need more before we say he's relegated the club.
It was bloody lovely. No dicking around at the back and allowing an hour for teams to set themselves up again.
Looked like all players were in their correct positions and we looked a bit like a team again. I even started shouting at the telly again.
Suga has to start from now on. Best crosser of the ball we have and delivers so early. Thought he was excellent when he came on.
Also a big improvement of getting men in the box in numbers And Fernandez is the man that the new manager has to build the tempo around. Fittest player in our team by a long way, shown by that run in almost the 90th minute where he was fouled o the edge of the area.
It was nice to finally have a bit of fun! Strange what can happen when you give yourselves a chance by not playing constant suicidal tactics.
Wasn't great but nice to hear some positivity and effort tonight. Terrible decision by Hooper at the end.
Second half was aces - lots of quick movement, quick passing, aggressive play and a minimum of ****ing about at the back. Enjoyable.
Would have been encouraging if our new manager was looking on. We have the pace and players who can pass the ball more than 10 yards, just need a bit of organisation and belief drilled into the players, and fitness to run, A LOT
Feel so much better after that, but with a tinge of irritation that RM stuck so idiotically to his tactics and philosophy, and didn't give us a snowball's chance in hell this year as a result.
I find unbelievable we have had Tall Paul for 2 years know and successive managers have not played him. He holds the ball up well, with good lay off, shame he missed his kick with that opportunity and I will excuse him that when you have had so few chances. He needs to play
Lovely finish from Archer again, very similar to his goal at Arsenal. Thought it was poor to take him off not long after to be honest as he must have been buzzing with confidence. Sulemana offered next to **** all and Diaz is just such an awful footballer.
