As horrible as it would feel, selling someone like Bruno for that kind of fee would be a total gamechanger in terms of our ability to buy. You're talking £340m kitty over 4 year contracts (amortised). Or £425m over 5 year deals. Obviously reduced by whatever we still owe for buying him, plus any impact of new wage levels. But it would still be some really serious money.
Exactly this. And he’s 27 so he’s prime but not our best player. I think this would make complete sense. However if we keep him that’s fine. I just think we need to be transfer savvy.
Insane that it took so long to move Bruno over and slot Tonali in. But we are now seeing it was the obvious decision.
