Pinky and Perky will certainly not do that, sadly. It would be very interesting to see them answer challenging questions.
Mundell and SR are emotionally attached to the global moderator and value their high position in the clique. They still regurgitate what their leader conditioned them to despite the fact that the global has finally come to his senses . They will eventually mirror him but they are slow burners.
"The investor group needs to decide what it wants to do about Jones, and probably Rodwell and Scott, first though. I suspect they’ll give Jones more time. His post Mansfield interview suggests he knows he’s fighting for his life. He’s obviously trying to make the case that we’re very good out of possession (which the evidence suggests is true) and that in possession we’re a work in progress. Just how credible is the latter is the question for the decision makers". **** Mundane has started the week off well, he's questioning 3 of the 4 under pressure, but not surprisingly mentioning Ivor's once friend
Very good out of possession just means we can defend OK. No team ever won promotion solely on the merits of defending OK. That's a recipe for 'Operation Progress: Target 15th place'. The project they are content with on ITTV. There is no evidence that Charlton has any attacking potential whatsoever. We sold that in the Summer and replaced it with dross.
Editors Note: Very good out of possession …against Crawley, Stevenage, Southend & Bromley. And Walsall. #RockBottomAmbitionMundell
Because he’s one of the primary enablers on ITTV, Mundell is not allowed to be challenged on his self regarding nonsense. This morning Mundell has posted “defensively we have been excellent this season” Either he’s had Magic Mushrooms for his breakfast instead of Ready Brek, or else he’s talking out of his backside, again. You don’t sit 14th in League One if you are “defensively excellent”. In recent weeks alone we have conceded numerous farcical goals, including a completely free header from a corner at Huddersfield away, where not one of our defenders even bothered to jump, and the second goal v Orient last week, where their goalscorer spun Gillesphey on the half way line in front of the dug outs, and ran on unchallenged. “Defensively excellent”
In the league we've conceded 19 goals in 18 games. That stat, in isolation, is not bad. It's a gross exaggeration to say we have been defensively excellent, especially when our good August is put into perspective. And it is only because our defence has been OK that Charlton are not already in the bottom four. Scoring only18 goals is on a par with the relegation teams. That sums matters up much better. And in about 10% of the time. Why does nobody on ITTV post this? Many of them must be thinking along similar lines.
Our defence has been about 2% better than our midfield and our front line - a very low bar. It’s a bit like saying @ElfsborgAddick is a giant …compared to Mrs Pepperpot & Ronnie Corbett.
Ridiculous, Mundane and Ivor do not criticise each other, it is not a message board where criticism is allowed. Grapevine is doing a good job atm though tbf.
"To highlight just two examples. Notts County (League Two) and Rochdale (National League) consistently play much better football than we do". He now has 'Ivoritis', htf does he come to the conclusion regards the above?
The only metric that matters in the end is the league table. Jones will point to his defence as progress, but will he admit to constructing a useless midfield and a blunt attack? I doubt it. The season is done. We will finish around 12th place. Utter pony.
We're 14th in the table. And this is the second worst position we have ever been in, after 19 games played in League One. Second worst in 11 3rd tier seasons since 2009. A shambles.
Nobody remembers who reached the Play Offs in past seasons, let alone who was in the top 6 for chances created on Sqwarka. Promotion & Championship football is all that counts.
Xg will not get us promoted either. All that matters is passing the ball forward to your own player and putting the ball in the net.
