Here's a question though, a genuine one - how in the name of all that's holy did the PGMOL and the FA think the best way to fix an already broken system was to bring back.... Howard ****ing Webb? I mean, seriously, like his 20s protege Michael Oliver, the man is a byword for incompetence and overt biases, yet the deluded **** and his slavering, Pavlovian cronies in the sporting media think they're some sort of exemplars.

Staggering lack of self-awareness, or is it? perhaps it's just the same level of arrogance and untouchable complacency that Cooke emitted before his fall.

Sorry, I thought we were talking about when play had stopped. Agree it should be up to the referee up until that point, but once the game as stopped it's got to be the medical staff that take charge imo

Hope so. Danns in particular needs to be on the bench for the 2nd half of the season.

I think we've had our wires crossed a bit - essentially we're both on the same page with this one.

So, according to McNutty, Man ****ty need a complete rebuild. Imagine having the money and pull to attract virtually any player in the world for a decade and still not making your squad future-proof, with a seamless transition as players get older.
Looks like bad management to me.

    It's a classic tale.

Klopp did it. Firmino, mane, fabinho, henderson, wanted to keep windy. They were all aging. We suffered for it.

Pep has his favourites. Thry replaced fernandinho with rodri and kept fernandinho in until Phillips arrived.

They kept silva as long as possible then he left and finally foden got a gsme.

They didn't want gundogan to go and brought him back.

They have kdb still going despite palmer telling them he was off.

They let alvarez go. They kept grealish

    They've let walker age out.

They've never brought competition for ederson.

    Their triple team

    Ederson
    Walker Stones dias ake
    Rodri
    Foden kdb gundogan silva
    Haaland

    Alvarez as sub
    Mahrez as sub
    Akanji as sub
    Grealish as sub
Fell oit with cancelo and got shut half way
    Phillips as a last resort.

    Look what has happened now

Gvardiol added to team for ake
    Dias injury
    Stones injuries mounting
    Rodri injury
Alvarez sold and replaced with savinho
    Grealish form vanished
Foden form vanished for full season
    Ederson loss of form
Kovacic injury, bring sin gundogan who is aged out
    Kdb is now 33
Doku brought in but no end product at all.
Nunes brought in, not the standard.

Where they had 4 and 5 options to rotate and barely notice a drop off now it's stark.

    There's no alternative to haaland.

There's real issue in terms of form and end product behind him.

There's not intensity or tracking in the midfield so little screen

Their defenders are all cbs so look weak now.

If Rodri received the Ballon D’Or is Vinicius Jr getting FIFA men’s World player of the year just a sympathy vote or another corrupt decision?

I think for this kind of cheating - which it clearly is - and only this kind of thing
So where players hold their face when their shin was touched
They should just award the 3 points retrospectively to the opposition
If it’s a cup game the opposition should be put through
I think that one measure would kill diving and even play acting and most kinds of obvious cheating

That would be a high price to pay for the team and the fans. Let the culprit be punished, retrospectively, if that's what it takes. It's amazing that we actually have the answer to players diving, time wasting and faking injury. It's called the referee. If a referee makes a bad mistake, he's dropped to a lower league for the next round of fixtures. This should be used more often or have him sit out a round of fixtures or two and do an interview after the game to explain his decisions.

They will do it as they get the advantage in the game.

If you are going to get a suspension or fine but your opponent is still down to 10 or their cm or cb is on a yellow and can't make a tackle then imo a lot of sides will be more than happy take it.

    Var is for what?

Subjective red cards (doesn't work half the time)
    Subjective pens (constant controversy)
Supposed objective offside goals. Still guessing and making stuff up

So do we want to add cheating to the list and a single bin or some.means to really dissuade players from being louses?

I can hear the usual suspects bleating about it now. How it's running the game to have punishment and have var but the same usual suspects would whinge if a foreign player hit the deck but not a peep about walker.
