The thing now is..you'd have to be late 30's at the youngest to have appreciated Shearer at his best. I think if you asked most football fans that age or over they'd have Shearer at least third. I'm 35 and was still too young to know him at his best. Carragher is clueless like, typical centre half.

Yup. If it weren't for Shearer being a sports pundit, he'd have been forgotten about years ago, by anyone outside of Newcastle anyway. I associate Shearer more with Blackburn than I do the Toon anyway.....because the Toon aint won fook all.
