The waffling gargoyle is crying about being "assaulted" because somebody threw a milkshake on him

Let's ask Honor Blackman in 1964 what her thoughts on that are...

One thing that has to be asked: why don't the other talking heads bluntly state that fact the first time they gob off?

Kate Andrews wouldn't be a fixture on Question Time/Politics Live if she was asked who funds her think tank and couldn't answer five minutes in

I wonder how much effort would have gone in to finding the 'perp' if the victim of this shooting had been a homeless guy in the street and not a CEO?

Given the MAGA Louts are lionising somebody who choked a homeless man suffering a mental health episode to death, I think that answers that particular question...

Remind me, why did the Fox News pundits stop talking about age and cognitive decline all of a sudden...?

So, in another example of Two Tier justice in rudderless Britain, you can now assault a member of parliament with a milkshake and receive a suspended sentence, or if you assault them with an egg you get 28 days in prison (as happened to a brexit supporter who egged Jeremy Corbyn). Identical charges of assault by beating, two different sentences, I think we all know what`s going on here.

Murphy physically hit him, but don't let the truth get in the way, eh?

...which demonstrates the two-tier press we have in this country, because somebody punching Corbyn with an egg was met with sniggers from the likes of Kuntssberg and Maitlis, but chucking a milkshake on the waffling gargoyle is treated like an acid attack

The milkshake attack happened before Farage was elected I think so wasn't on a MP.

Different sentences for the same charge depending on the severity of the incident is a standard feature of our justice system, and rightly so.

Mitigation and circumstances comes into play I believe.

If I punched someone in the street because they called me a **** I could be charged with assault.
If I punched someone in the street simply cos they looked at me I could also be charged with assault.
If found guilty in both instances I suspect I would get a lesser punishment in the first instance due to the provocation

Looks like the Democrats haven't grasped how they ****ed the election by announcing Gerry Connolly to be the top Democrat in charge of the watchdog into ethics and accountability, which is going to have a ridiculously heavy workload over the next four(?) years - in spite the fact that Connolly is 74 years old and disclosed he has esophageal cancer early last month

The Onion were more on the nose than they posted with this one...
