Watching the News and footage of the tortured corpses in Syria - intrigued to see how Putin and Iran are going to justify / excuse this ... absolutely barbaric ...
I guess it goes to show that whatever laws you lay down, people will always find a way to indulge their vices. During my time in Morocco, most of the lads who surf and like a smoke also liked a drink now and again. They'd take me to these back alley off licences to get beer and wine for them, because as a westerner I could buy it. Same in the supermarkets. There's a separate cashier for westerners and non muslims to buy booze. Morocco is a fairly laid back country in a lot of respects, but in Mauritania, there was a strict no alcohol rule even taking any across the border is illegal.
Did you see that crushing device, it's alleged it was even used to compact dead bodies. I still feel Assad is a liability, if not to Putin, to the Kremlin - although even the Soviets indulged in genocide... https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Excess_mortality_in_the_Soviet_Union_under_Joseph_Stalin - Hopefully Assad will do something to piss Putin off and then he'll be fast tracked out of life on this planet.
Lammy the fat drip has donated another £13m to Hamas’ mates. Could’ve maybe made it conditional on the release of Emily Damari but nah.
Anyway, shout out to Anthony Blinken for being one of the people trying to hold it all together right now
The trial of those who organised the Jew hunt in Amsterdam that all the Palestine-shagging wets insisted was football violence instigated by Israelis is happening now and it’s grim reading. Won’t get 1% of the coverage or crying on Twitter of course.
Multiple fatalities in a school shooting in Madison, Wisconsin. Such a senseless loss of life that could be avoided with more sensible policies surrounding the purchase and right to carry firearms.
Very interesting developments this afternoon in Jenin, with large clashes between Fatah security forces and Islamic Jihad. Massive power play going between those two groups and Hamas in the West Bank recently. https://x.com/SSinijlawi/status/186...a-tries-to-prove-it-can-rule-gaza-but-can-it/ Incidentally, if you follow anyone on X/Twitter, make sure one of them is Samer Sinijlawi. Top bloke and a top journalist.
His solution will probably be to give a gun to all school children when they receive their early reading certificate.
Yeah they love waving a load of flags. So do pro-Palestinians. Flags could be the unexpected meeting point on the political venn diagram.
5 guns for every 4 people- it's just crazy... and then when you also consider that two thirds of adults have 0 guns and it's just one third of the population that is stockpiling weapons , it just makes that statistic even crazier. Lots of guns in Canada too- but school shootings are much rarer there.
Looks like Israel has had enough of the Houthis and has launched massive strikes on their strongholds in Yemen. When you got no spine, and ya don't look good. When there's terrorists, in ya neighborhood, Who ya gonna call? Call Israel Daa na daa na daa na daa nanana
