Hmmm no idea how you stop this but it’s defo becoming an issue This business of holding the head It’s just stopped a Brentford attack and Chelsea’s straight up the other end Absolutely no reason that was a head injury the ball hit him a bit This is/will become a big thing
Retrospective yellow card for feigning head injury and stopping the game unnecessarily if there is unequivocal video evidence?
So Chelsea could be top next time we play So this title race lol ? Yknow being over So funny when they start that talk lmao
Just gotta hope Everton have a backbone next Sunday. Kept Arsenal out yesterday, so they've proved they can perform when push comes to shove.
No genuine fan - apart from some under 14 maybe - thought it was over, or anything like it. It was just the usual media bullshit. Though I do think we were expecting more of a challenge from City or Arsenal.
Is finishing 5-0 after leading 5-0 in the first half about as spursy as it can get against Southampton??
It’s a shame no one has the balls to bring in retrospective punishment for players trying to con the referee through diving or faking injuries including head injuries. Had one in Brighton game, keeper came out with a high boot admittedly but barely brushed the players shoulder, player took about 5 steps then stopped and held his head and fell down when realised ball was no where near.
when things like that happen the ref should be going to the screen to look at if, and not just relying on a word in his ear.
Southampton need a new manager. Whoever they get can’t be any worse than the one they’ve just binned. Sir knee bending failure is available
Easy, use retrospective footage. If there is no contact or minimal contact and after effects (didn't miss a game) then give them a ten game ban for attempting to cheat. It would soon stop.
One have us obviously is slightly harsher than the other when it comes to punishment A retrospective yellow card wouldn't stop it, they wouldn't give a **** about a booking.
Manager gone just in time for a bounce against a second string team with more important things to worry about
I think we've got Top Four, and that's amazing for mid-December. Said all along that if we were 12 points ahead in the New Year (knowing we wouldn't be) then yeah, we've won the league. But Chelsea (and I still think Arsenal) will push us until May - or should I say I expect us all to be in the mix until then. I will now stick my neck out and say that City, especially if they have to play CL qualifiers in Jan/Feb next year, are out of it. Well, depending on how many trillions they panic-buy in January.
In fairness, either Spurs have magically morphed into Brazil @ 1970 or you have dramatically dropped off a cliff since we won 3-2 at your place and you should have had a pen. I expect a far tighter game on Wednesday night.
We've been dreadful pretty much the entire season mate. There's a reason that Derby fans have been getting excited. I think we should be fine to reach 12 now he's gone though. I'm hopeful we'll make it competitive at least on Wednesday as long as we go full strength (and there's no reason not to).
