Poor old Carroll! And yeah it amazing how Luiz was highly rated at first but now people realise he cannot defend.

Always a problem for a defender.

Luiz is class, he just makes rash decisions and doesn't listen. Which can both be fixed.

 

Luiz is not class at all. You can't get away with being a 'free-roaming' CD with a bit of flair in the prem.

 

Not for the salary he'll be asking for

 

I'm the one who's watched every game he's played since we bought him. Although, when January comes I'd like to see us buy another CB and see what Luiz can do in DM.

 

For me he's going to be like Ferrara (spelling) and Boswinga.

Decent going forward and will win the odd game, but will also cost you a few goals too.

 

I think a new CB or 2 is vital for you.

I reckon Luiz's best position would be on the bench - Although, I love watching him play. He reminds me of a pissed up clown.

 

I don't think Luiz is a bad player, I just think he's a god awful defender. At the end of the day the CD's main role is to defend, which Luiz isn't great at.

I think Luiz is similar to Agger in the way he likes to bring the ball out of defence, but he's just very erratic at the back and when he goes forward will leave a big hole in the back four. For Liverpool, Lucas will also tuck in and cover but I don't see anyone doing that at Chelsea.

 

I doubt it will be anymore then we were paying Joe Cole... I'm sure it wouldn't be so bad if he actually scored a few goals

If you did sign Anelka, what do you think it would mean for Carroll at Liverpool? He already seems to have dropped behind Kuyt in the pecking order, and seems to get about as many games as Bellamy. Would he be happy becoming almost 5th choice if Anelka started banging the goals in?

 

Anleka is a class act....creative and a finisher...I am gutted he's going to be honest

Players will not be chosen on merit or the price we paid, but that doesn't necessarily mean he will be dropped so far down the pecking order. Remember when playing strikers, or any other player infact, its not always about form/performances. Its also about attitude and long term strategy, so although I may agree that Anelka (In hindsight) may deserve to be ahead of Carroll in the pecking order, I'm afraid sometimes that just might not be the case due to other factors out of his control. As a United fan you should understand what I mean, Berbatov over Hernandez as a prime example.
