Wouldn't be surprised. Only had it a couple of months and it's been doing some strange things. Never had a problem with Samsungs before

It was the put all the players who could be viewed as a potential goal scorer that made me agree with the suggestion.

    Part 2 from HDM...

A seventh defeat in eight games leaves City rooted to the bottom of the table and their fans becoming increasingly worried about the perilous nature of their league position, and Selles in just his second game, admitted his frustration with the ease at which the Sky Blues turned the game on its head.

"I'm frustrated, but I try always to put the things in the way that I think where the frustration is for all of us. We came here with one idea and with one intention to do it," the Spaniard told Hull Live. "It didn't quite work in the first 20 minutes, even though we had a couple of situations. They were better than us in those moments.

"We found our way back into the game, we scored that goal. We talked about things in the half-time and the early goal in the second half, we need to manage quite a bit better, so yes, I am a little bit frustrated for everyone in that dressing room.

"Well, it's always difficult when you take the lead, especially in the position that we are in; you just feel that you have something to protect, and when you feel that you have something to protect, usually you get lower, you start to make some mistakes that you are used to making."

Given City have won just three games all season, perhaps it's no surprise they've thrown away leads in the last two games, but Selles doesn't want to lay the blame firmly at his players' mentality.

"I don't like to put it down to the mentality because sometimes when we talk about the mentality, it is just like a very big thing," he explained. "I will always try to analyse connections and tactical behaviour. I need to analysise how we can do better in those moments so we don't give those situations away, and that is my responsibility.

"So yes, mentality can be a part of it, but a big part of it is feeling comfortable in the stressful moments and doing the things that we know how to do."

Selles wouldn't accept a lack of time on the training pitch for the manner of the display, saying if his players could turn up on Wednesday, they should have been able to do it here.

"I think against Watford, we were a very good version of what we want to be, and it was only a couple of days," he said. "I don't like that excuse of more time or less time. If we were able to do it on Wednesday, we should be able to do it today."

Amazing isn't it. Wonder how this has happened?
Maybe Tim still being in the area is upsetting the poor little boys. If we can have him deported maybe they will get over the trauma and start showing us what great players they are?

Honest coach,he's called it spot on.

Today's performance was abject compared to Wednesday's.

I'm a big Coyle fan. He hasn't been playing well for the last 4/5 games. He has gone from one of our most reliable players to being a player who looks beaten and down.

He certainly isn't on his own though. Just my opinion he is one of the players that some love to turn on quickly. Yes I believe he needs a rest.

I do wonder with Coyle as he’s the link between the manager and the team if the poor performances, some of that lot have been only putting in 50% 70% you decide and his need to back the manager has affected him?

It would be good to at least see what Drameh is capable of in his correct position. Their winger was decent, with pace and trickery, I think Drameh would have handled him better, Coyle was struggling. Bit surprised that change wasn't made 2nd half.
Bit harsh in some ways on Coyle as he's been good, and a warrior, for many games when others have been ****.
Great club captain, but not the on the pitch leader we need. No idea who is. Although anyone else notice Pedro man handling Bedia into position late on?

Szmodics managed 27 last season and, currently, there’s only Sainz who has those kind of numbers in the Championship. Most strikers at this level don’t come close to those returns.

It’s just not happening that we sign that level of player in the winter break while bottom of the league. If someone like that were even available they’d go elsewhere. Probably the Premier League.

The kind of striker we could realistically buy won’t fix all of our problems. We need to somehow find goals across the team, as we have a lack of end product in every area of the pitch.

I don't envy the new manager his current selection dilemmas. He wants to play fast-paced, high pressing, high energy football and players like Longman, Coyle and Slater are ideally suited to that, apart from the bit where they have to do something useful with the ball. If he goes with players more comfortable and useful in possession then he will probably lose some of the energy he wants (e.g. swapping out Slater for Puerta). Dunno what the answer is, but if it was me I would go for wholesale changes and line up with:
    Pandur (until Rushworth is fit)
    Drameh Jones Hughes Jacob
    Puerta Alzate
    Burstow Palmer Kamara
    Pedro
Probably explains why I'm not a manager.

With the options he currently has, I'd agree.
Drameh and Jacob do surely suit his preferred way of playing.

With all due respect, you're telling the wrong man here.I've been saying exactly what you're saying for weeks now...We will struggle to recruit any real quality and if we somehow do manage it'll be mercenary type players who couldn't care less if we go down or not.

Didn’t get chance to see game today, thought I’d come to get a consensus of the game, picked a page at random and read first 8 comments and think I’ll just leave it there ..

I agree for the most part. I’m hoping that Sellés might pick up one or two players he either liked at Reading or was impressed with at other League 1 teams, but they won’t exactly be blow your socks off signings.

He seems like a really decent manager that values players with a certain work ethic, so hopefully that can lead to a few positive recruitments.
