Very disappointing wasn't she. Especially as in the lead up to this contest That's Nice, what a lovely name for a filly by the way, had received strong support for the Mares Novices' Hurdle at the Festival. After the race Lieutenant Henderson was spoken to by the Stewards (how very dare they!!!) and asked for an explaination re her performance. His response was that he 'could offer no explanation for the filly’s performance'. A 'routine test' was then ordered by the stewards (re That's Nice not Lieutenant Henderson). Haven't though seen the result of this yet.
Ahem, might have been interesting had they ordered 'routine tests' on both horse and trainer, that's if the latter gentleman was already on his 4th or 5th G&T of the day? He might well have been! . Does not really matter, anyway, after all he's not the jockey!
