Including very long time sponsors Chanterlands DIY? The views expressed in my posts are not necessarily mine.
Not me, back in the day, they tried when someone at FC got hold of the contact details for City's sponsors at a time when we were on the bones of our arses at the foot of the FL and tried to persuade us to switch codes by offering a better deal. Did speak to someone today who was offered the FC player of match sponsorship for the new season at the bargain price of £17k. He told them.....computer says no.
How much was it then? If local sponsors were withdrawing funding based on it, there must be a known amount and clearly AP wouldn’t be advertising it?
Not privy to the exact figures but it is common knowledge amongst FC fans and sponsors. I've heard several figures mentioned from several sources. Perhaps mentioning in the statement that the new owners will NOT be taking any 'expenses' for three years tells you a lot.
Believe what you like. I'm not that bothered either way. Do you think he was there for 13 years for nothing or for the good of his health then?
I think he was there for 13 years because, having found out there was no money in the game, it took him years to find someone to unload it to.
That I can believe. What did he live on for 13 years? Sure it wasn't fresh air. Having said that I also don't believe that anyone who runs a professional sports club does it just for love alone. Including our own.
He knew there was no money when he got into it, but also knew he could pay himself a decent salary whilst having the kudos of owning a sports club, something he was unable to do in football. Had the club kicked on from the 16/17 seasons he’d still be there today, he only wanted to sell once his bad decisions caught up with him and the team went into free fall, his lack of rugby knowledge was exposed and he was left with no choice.
Someone will of course know all the intimate details but I thought at the time they loaned the club money at a 4% interest rate which was considerably lower then any loan the club could get at a Bank?
The Allams paid themselves £39m in total, £23m interest on their loans plus £14m dividends and £2m directors fees.
Show me a businessman that doesn't exploit every loop-hope made available to him and I'll show you my @rse the next time I'm in Morleys
Have you got any inside details of all the 5histers who have 'owned' Hull City and lined their own pockets whilst letting the club wither of the vine and finish up in the High Court bankrupt, owing money to all and sundrie?
I'll not be showing you a businessman that doesn't exploit loopholes, ever! The views expressed in my posts are not necessarily mine.
